Yup.. As I told another poster earlier, Smoger felt sorry for USS and did him a favor..

Mansour lost legit. He's to wild to be a contender
Mansour's right.
2 long counts in rd 5.
Cunningham was still down when 10 seconds elapsed both times.
Just click to 18:10 for a look at the knockdowns.
You can see the ring clock in the bottom right, and you can hear Smoger's long, slow count.
Master and I were discussing this a few days ago. Smoger wasnt payed off cuz USS isnt that relevant anyways but he definitely officiated with personal feelings and emotions up his sleeve..
USS' s struggles were well documented leading up to the bout. He never caught a break in his career and dude even talked about his ill daughter.
His wife was there to watch the fight with his sick daughter on her lap.. a lot of people saw that including Smoger and the judges and there is no way they didnt feel for him.. anybody with a heart would have symphatized them..
They clearly knew what was at stake for cunningham so smoger gave him a super long count while one of the judges fucked amir on the cards..
That's unfortunate
Mansour= swing and a misss
Cry me a river. Shoulda finished Steve if he truly had him done.
It was a good fight and Cunningham got up off the canvas twice for the win.
Not every ref counts exactly, perfectly in cadence. Some are faster, some are slower.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Mansour is the most limited free swinging slugger in the top 20 HW .
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .
Mansour is nothing but a slugger to be sure and Cunningham is heaps better boxer.
But Mansour has the power and the strength and the chin so it would always be an edgy prospect this fight.
I think given the fact the evidence is in that the count was slow, even though it's the refs count that is in effect here, I think it should definitely be a rematch.
Why should Mansour miss out on a KO victory and sustain a loss instead just because the ref favoured USS?
At the very least, USS owes him another shot and putting him away!! Preferably with a ref that can count to ten quicker! lol
"Enough with the games mate! Your messing with the Grand Master!"

Amir must get over it or get a child who has a heart condition. He has only himself to blame.

It was a bit of a long count. However thats not uncommon as it shows the ref wants to give the fight a chance. Mansour was outboxed though and it could easily be argued that it could of been called off when USS dropped him.
Excuse my spelling Hidden Content
They were huge knockdowns, but Cunningham beat both and Smoger reffed the way he always does. If you watch the clock Cunningham was definitely not down for 10 seconds either time, whatever Smogers count was. Mansour never really hurt him again and he was the one getting beat up from then on, I doubt he actually believes he won.
Smoger's one of my favorite refs but he does show some favoritism towards certain fighters. I guess it's human nature to favor people your more familiar with...
SecondsOut Boxing News - Thomas Hauser - The Strange Case of Steve Smoger
Was Steve Smoger Against Karo Murat And Was It Necessary For Smoger To Get Physical With Him?There was one moment when Smoger's performance did raise a few eyebrows. On March 6, 1999, Lou Savarese fought Lance Whitaker in Atlantic City. Savarese hit the canvas twice. The second time, discretion being the better part of valour, he showed little inclination to rise. Smoger gave him a bit more time and a bit more encouragement than some onlookers thought appropriate. Savarese rose at what seemed to be the count of nine-and-three-quarters and went on to win the fight.
