Yeah but if it's legal in the state then it's fair game.
Personally I don't think it should be allowed anywhere, but whatever.
I can't imagine it could be an advantage for anyone who didn't have some kind of bad hands in the first place, so I've never really thought much about it. No idea whether there are other numbing agents which are close enough and legal across the board though, weird that anything banned in most states is allowed in Vegas of all places.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I think any pain killer should be banned, not because it's an advantage but because it's dangerous to the fighter using it.
Let's say Floyd breaks his hand but because of the injections he doesn't really feel it and keeps punching full force with it, he can do serious lasting damage.
He has already done serious damage to his brain by inheriting several of his fathers genes.
It's not cheating, IT'S ABSOLUTELY FINE WHAT HE'S DOING.
He's not making himself stronger than his opponent by using steroids, and sure he can hit and not feel some pain but he can only throw what his stamina lets him.
Simple fact, if his opponent doesn't like it..... Don't take the fight.... Or ..... Use the injections himself....
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
Nah that's not cheating, that's just like getting a cortisone for a bad shoulder. It's medicinal.
Cemented gloves and PED's are definitely cheating by contrast. And that's coming from a fan of both Pac and the Mexican boxers.
"Enough with the games mate! Your messing with the Grand Master!"
Lennox Lewis
is elbowing the opponent's throat cheating? because floyd survived many a fight like that.
Did Floyd try to hide it? Is it illegal in Nevada?
Painkilling injections are used in lots of other sports but are generally damaging over the long term because your still working with an injury which makes it worse. Floyd's been struggling with his hand since the Guerrero fight and I wonder if its the first sign of years in the sport having an effect on his body.
