Default Mayweather v Pacquiao set for 2015 Showdown in Dubai......?

These Arab princes can buy absofuckinglutely anything they want so this could happen i think.

All you have to do is look at how much they have thrown at Manchester City Football Club in the past years and they simply throw a bottomless pit of money at something until the get what they want

Prince Amir Shafipour, who is known to be a combat sports enthuasiast, has been given the green light by the rulers of United Arab Emirates to negotiate for holding the mega bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in Dubai next year.
Shafipour, a popular fight promoter and known businessman in the UAE, has established various boxing and mixed martial arts tournaments in the Middle East, including the Golden Cage events and Global Fighting Championships (GFC) Series.
The President and Royal Family of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan have ordered Shafipour to open talks with the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps. The promoter and the royal family of UAE have a great connection for the past few years.
Based on the report of International Business Times, the GFC series has been held in different places like in Dubai, Turkey, Morocco and Holand while the final matches will take place in Australia, where the fighters have a chance to pocket $1 million dollars.
Shafipour is also known to his vast connections to the United States, Asia, Australia and Europe, which allows his country to host other mega sporting events.
But Shafipour is really wanted to host the biggest boxing fight in the whole world that everyone wanted to see – Pacquiao-Mayweather bout – and promote his country.
“We already have the best horse race, golf and tennis events taking place, what we now need [is] a fight event that will blow everyone away and that event is Pacquiao vs. Mayweather – and we are going to make it happen,” Shafipour told Gulf News (gulfnews.com) recently.
He also said that he already brought the best fighters in K-1 in Dubai and they received a lot of money.
“My ultimate vision is to put on a show that has never been seen before in Dubai, which will capture the attention of every fight fan on the planet and provide Dubai with the kind of world advertising that it deserves as a mega city,” Shafipour added to gulfnews.com.

That would be great. They recently did a kickboxing event with a bunch of K-1 legends and the production values were fantastic.

Dubai don't do half measures i lived there and the money there is sick

Not much of a difference time wise (3 hours London) so it's do-able and they could swamp every Vegas Casino put together for $$$ a Million times over.

    Money talks so why not

Just think how easy this would be to do if Pac hadn't resigned. Floyd isn't with GBP, Pac without Arum, all the BS would be stripped away.

I think the situation will get worse having 3 big promoters with personality issues and great fights not being made.

I just don't understand why guys with the name value of a Pacquaio NEEDS a promoter. He doesn't need promotion anymore. They need him, not vice versa, so he should do like Floyd and do it under his own banner, then he can keep a much larger % of his purse.

Cotto is free, Floyd is tied to GBP.

Floyd dumped GBP the day after Schaefer left. He has no contractual obligation to them. He had been working on a fight by fight bases with them like many Haymon fighters.

The papers have been running this same story for five years now. They must be into double figures now at least. There are people in Dubai who have claimed to be putting on endless huge fights going back to De La Hoya's era but it's just talk. They're world class bullshitters.

This arab promoter would have to put up too much guarantee to each fighter to put on the promotion in Dubi. Floyd would want a $100 million guarantee with a PPV percentage and pacquiao $50 million with a PPV percentage to agree. It's not going to happen! The guarantee for a promotion in the US would be something like $50 million and $25 million with ppv percentages. The only thing up in the air would be overseas ppv's. It's just too much money to guarantee so don't ever figure this fight is going to happen with the ego's these two have. They can't even call each other just to say "Congrats on your win. good fight man! I hope we can make something happen in the future" Why? because they live on different planets and have stupid people around them saying oh that's not a good idea.

Floyd can't promote himself because his promotional company is only a front with no real fucntioning license. Not to say they he could'nt do it. Don't be fooled into thinking GBP wasn't getting a big slice of the pie. Floyd just doesn't want the fans to know it. He may not have any contractural obligations with GBP but he has never flown solo.

Say what you want about the Arabs, they have extreme vision and a penchant for gross opulence.

They would build a golden bridge from Manilla to Tokyo if they think they can do it... and for no reason. Just to fucking do it!!

Arum is holding something over Pac's head.

Arum talked about Oscar and Floyd like dogs when they wised-up and left...imagine what he'd say about Manny:

"I got that little monkey the best steroids in sports and kept his scandals out of the press...and THIS is how he treats me"

    Can Pac promote himself
If GBP was getting this huge slice of Floyd's money how did YOU find out about it?......mexican.
Share with us your vast inside knowledge of Floyd's finances with the rest of us...stop holding out.

Your cross-dressin Vato Oscar didn't start promoting full time until he retired.

@cyclone why do you take criticism of Floyd so personally?

It's not criticism at all....it's more like wishful thinking.
