As for as the actual fight, I think it was disgusting. You fight guys like that on the way up, not when you're world champion.

I was disappointed when he decided to face Herrera, but at least Herrera had been in there with world class guys. For an elite boxer to fight a genuine club fighter just for the sake of getting a brutal KO is disgusting and a black eye for boxing. It's not sport, it's not competition, it's a lamb being lead to the slaughter.

Fuck GBP, Al Haymon, and anyone else involved with it. I don't blame Danny because he's just the guy who throws the fists, not the guy making the fights.

My father felt the same way about Garcia picking on such weak opposition.

However, Roberto Duran himself used to defend his title against guys making their pro debut!

Tyson crushed guys like Buster Mathis Jr when he felt like really looking invincible.

It has happened throughout boxing history.

It was macabre and pitiful watching Salka pound his chest with defiance then immediately be KOd. I felt ashamed for Garcia.
