Yeah I know that. I'm asking if a weight was announced or if its anything goes between 147 and 154

Oh, they haven't said. But you can imagine that if it is for the jr. middle belt, then Maidana can make weight easier and balloon to 160 or 165.

HTF can you defend 2 titles at 2 different weights. Stupid!

I know I hate that shit. 147 and 154 are really the same division though save a few natural welters like Floyd and part of the redundant expansion from 8 to 17.

Funny how the WBC would not allow Martinez to keep his 154/160 belts. Ahh but Sergio never pulled in the wages and huge sanctioning fees.

It has happened before my friend and based on what Leonard was able to pull off with Lalonde, anything is possible.

That's the WBC for ya. But at least they are fighting for THEE BELTS, and not the Silver/Diamond/Interim/Super/Regular Belt like the WBA.

I'm not too against this. I feel if you own the 154 belt but can still weigh in at 147 you can have both and defend both. I mean if a140 pound boxer went up and won the 154 belt but didn't weigh in over 140 I think he can defend it all he wants. As long as you don't try and bring people down in weight to fight you. And the limit remains 154. It's up to you wether you want fill in the weight or not.

Yeah the fight has to be contested at 147 to make any sense.
That bring said; Maidana fighting for the light middleweight title makes no sense what so ever.
