Thread: Future Islands - wtf is this guy on ? Mesmerizing mind

I just happened to flick on Jools Holland last night and he introduced this band - Future Islands

When they started I was laughing at the front man and his dancing but after a while I was transfixed - talk about passionate

Great song too.

What you guys think ? Lunatic or genius performance ?

It's absolutely brilliant. Top marks for being himself and bonus points for not having a guitarist. Being a synth player I might be biased but it's very easy to be limited and sound like a whole host of other people with a guitar. Refreshingly unpretentious and real.

I like him, its an act but he is game and he is natural.

It was very bizarre dancing, but the song seemed decent.
