Wtf was this crap from Algeri?

Rather than give manny his due, Chris chose to qualify everything Manny did with this phrase as well as claim that his own power is what kept Manny honest.

YOU LOST EVERY ROUND BUT MAYBE THE 5th AND WERE KNOCKED DOWN 6 FUCKING TIMES!

LOL...... he was trying to save face after getting shut out and outscored by like about 20 points by Pacquiao. He hit the canvas in just about every corner.... and comically backflopped out of his knockdowns.

Yeah..... just a bit of sour grapes on national television.

Fair point. If you take away rounds 2,6,9,10,11 and 12, there were some solid stretches where he was better at running around like Chris Algeri than Manny was. If Pacquiao had been warned for excessive fighting, I think Algeri could have done a lot better.

I feel like he was saying that just in case they asked who was better between Pac and Floyd he could still say Floyd.

Hey, you try to make a poignant statement after getting your brain rattled by a Filipino punching machine for 12 rounds hahaha

I thought it was only me that saw that. lololol.... those punches must have scrambled his brains. And the thing is Pac showed EXTREME compassion to him, and could have rearranged his face like he did to Cotto and Margarito.

    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Worst Compliment ever! - Who else is supposed to be better at being you than you... Give me a break.

His interview should've went like this:

Manny had no noticeable power, but I had to back peddle for all 12 rounds.

Manny had no noticeable speed, but I just never could produce a single significant counter punch

Manny was just good at being Manny, and I guess my corner lost the key before they could let me out of my cage.

I liked Algi until his lack of excepting the fact that he was out gunned in every category possible and refused to admit it without a disclaimer attached.

Right? Sometimes I wonder if people watch the fights they talk about. Anyone that didn't see any counters should have their seeing eye dog bark out what's happening.

Poor dumb kid. Nice fellow but by the 10th minute in his 15 of fame, he took his role to somewhat of a condescending twat level. He's just now realizing he was the only one not in on the joke the whole lead up. Along with the Sage in his corner...'I'm about to let him outta the cage' oh FFS

i think that the point that people are missing is that algieri is not at all on pacs level. he got a win over provo (i actually had provo winning but was alright with the decision) and then gets to fight pac. it didnt matter what his gameplan was, he was going to lose. they probably thought that the only way to win is somehow catch in and KO him which is probably true. that was the highest probability for him to win even if it had almost no chance of working.

its like if i fought pac. it doesnt matter what gameplan i put into place because im going to lose no matter what. the only chance i would have is somehow land so perfectly that pac somehow cant continue because of a huge gash or something. algieri was basically in a fight he had just about no chance of winning and picked the gameplan with the best chance to pull off an upset.

Seems like he was trying to make a boxing label with his nutrition masters and wanted to give an answer that said pacquiao was great and still promote a rep as a boxing expert. I think t he term he used was master boxer. I'm guessing he was looking at a some sort of a technician persona with a brain. He'll probably try and stick with it. But he shouldn't use the word "fight" but rather score because he obviously wasn't interested in fighting.

I guess I should've said "significant" counters. I didn't consider the well timed overhand rights as counters. Most of Algi's shots were either first or the attempt to catch Pac coming in. Counters to me are punches in response to an attack off of a defensive maneuver.

Back peddling may be his style, but falling down constantly with or without the water on the canvas is testament to Pac's legitimate power.

It just erked me to not give credit when credit is due.

How could the only compliment you give somebody is they are good at being themselves. Who else would be better at it?

Exactly. It was a calculated and hair brained back handed compliment by a sore loser.
