    Default When Floyd fights Manny!

Well, apparently, even though the $120 mil from the Arabs is off the table, the deal is being made for the MGM Grand and the drug testing issues are being sorted out.

Even the money for the fight has a framework- 60/40 Mayweather. Which is acceptable.

Not sure how they are going to work out the television rights, but most likely everyone should be given the opportunity to have a PPV slot or pay through the nose for it to be telecast.

With that being said: This is a WIN-WIN situation for Manny. If and when he fights Mayweather, Manny can still go back to being Manny if he loses. He can make a wad of money off of Mayweather, either which way the cat jumps.

Mayweather on the other hand, even if he wins against Manny, who else can he possibly fight for his next fight? Possibly a Manny 2. Which may be in the offering, if the fight is competitive if Mayweather wins by a close UD. And certainly a rematch if Manny wins- by any fashion, wide UD, stoppage or KO.

Manny can still get fights people want to see after Mayweather. He can fight Canelo, Lara, Thurman, Garcia, Broner, Maidana, etc... while Floyd has NO ONE else other than Manny.

Good thing Mayweather said that he is retiring after this last two fights, because this will be his peak earning potential.

True that there's nobody else credible enough left for Floyd (except Lara and Thurman). He's still got two more fights, innit? That just leaves Manny I and II if he loses or gets a SD or draw. Or Manny I and II anyway. In an ideal world at least.

I won't believe it till it's done though, as nobody else would either, but I can't wait for this one. I always thought an old Floyd would beat an old Pacquiao much easier than in their younger versions btw.

It is doesn't happen blame bob arum.

If it does happen expect the crowd to go crazy at every flurry manny misses in the first opening rounds and dots of wild flurries over the course of the fight.!

From round 3 floyd adjusts and potshots all day long as well as maintaining the best defence the welterweight division has seen.

Floyd has quick hands and will be the fastest boxer that manny has ever been in the ring with...

Styles makes fights and an old, past it marquez caused manny all the problems in the world..(I wont bring up the other 4 losses!)

Floyd is faster, better footwork, better, better chin, better stamina, more accurate, smarter, better boxer and his defence isn't that bad either..lol

Sorry to bore you all, but I cant wait to soak in smug mode the day after this fight happens..if it ever does.

(If floyd takes a loss, ignore the above)

I think this is gonna happen, i also heard the MGM Grand in Vegas is the venue and Pac might do a 40-60 in Mayweathers favour

I'd also back Manny to beat him as i think he's got a better engine

The Daily Start are usually pretty accurate with fight stories too

I've been a pactard, proudly but I have to say at this point in time I think Floyd will have the edge. I don't think that was so a number of years ago. Either way it will be a he'll of a fight, I just hope they don't charge a grand for the ppv

I don't get the reaction that Manny is being generous accepting a 60/40 deal. It's like people ignore history. The math doesn't add up. It's Floyd being generous, just like he was generous the first time the made the fight before Bob talked Manny into being "afraid of needles"

In the end all that matters is that they fight. It should have been in 2010 before team Pac backed out but whatever. Just don't get it twisted, it's Floyd being generous to try and make the fight and the numbers prove that

(Btw not saying anyone here is being silly enough to ignore the math, just saying I see this flawed logic all over the Internet)

    Should have been 70-30.

Floyd has been very generous and has proved he wanted manny all along but Bob kept those strings tight.

Floyd doesn't really have many options with just two fights left, it's either Manny & Khan or somebody else that won't bring him as much money. Manny could lose to Floyd and still fight on for another two years, has the Marquez loss really affected him? Shit the law of averages could tell you if you fight a bloke 4 times you might just lose one of them!
Floyd needs Manny, he needs him for the dollars and his legacy, he will most likely win and then he can fight Khan and he should fight him in the UK for a final humongous pay day! The only thing that could spoil that match up would be a controversial decision and Floyd faces Manny a 2nd time? It's all intriguing stuff, but one thing is clear Floyd has to fight Manny next or he is wasting everyone's time. It should've happened in 2009 or 10, Pacquiao is not the same fighter now as he was then.

I'm not buying the 60/40 spread, unless Mayweather gets all the PPV money and calls all the shots regarding ring, entrances, gloves, judges, ref, ring card girls, snacks served in the MGM, etc...
