I have Matthysse by stoppage. He hasn't looked good recently but I think Matthysse at his best is far better than Provodnikov. It's almost certain to be exciting

I agree, Provodnikov is a very tough guy with real power but doesn't have the speed or movement to be a problem for Matthysse. IMO

Mathyse blows hot and cold but you know what to expect with Provo . He looked flat vs Algerie but he is strong and difficult to deter.

Lucas impressed me vs Peterson but looked a different fighter when getting outclassed by garcia. He also got beat by judah and Alexander who are guys not really known for their heart. Also it may have been a great fight with Molina but Lucas appeared pretty vulnerable in that fight. If that version turns up vs russian then my money is on the Siberian rocky.

It's a mouth watering fight and after some brutal exchanges I see Provo getting stronger and Lucas looking to back off. Provod style might play into Mathyse hands who knows but providing Provo doesn't mark up I'm siding with him to be too much for Lucas over the distance & win on points

Provo is gonna end up like El Pero Alfredo Angulo- someone that is thrown in there to the wolves.

Agreed, great fight. I think I'd go with Prod, he looks better each time he goes out. He's just not concerned about getting hit. I'd go Prod by stoppage mid to late.

Definitely one to look forward to. Matthyse either late or if as I think he can't get granite Provo out of there, points. Maybe a SD.

Great fight for us, bad for one (or maybe) both of these fighters. Someone is cashing out and boxing need more of these fighters sticking around. For every pitty pat bicycle rider or someone that deliberately prices themselves out of a fight with "A side/ B side" crap, there needs to be fighters like this who are ready to bang and fight whoever whenever.

If someone has to fall, it may as well be provo. Matthysse can at least adjust his game. Matthysse by round 9.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Amazing fight. Did they officially announce it yet? Is it at the Stub Hub center?

Not a bad prediction. I thought he won closely in the Judah and Alexander fights and never once did he look too frustrated or hurt in those fights. In the Garcia fight, I thought the eye messed him up. However, after the Garcia loss, Matthysse didn't look great against Molina in his first full fight back. Provo punches a lot harder than Molina or Garcia to be honest. Then again, Matthysse at his best is a better boxer than Provo. Great scrap. Winner against Rios?

I'd pick either to dominate Rios.

I worry for Provo's safety in this fight, he's way too easy to find.
