Default Who was the true "Irish"?

Irish Mickey Ward? Lamotta-conquerer Irish Bob Murphy?

Perhaps it was Irish Jerry Quarry? Irish Andy Lee?

If you are not born in Ireland you are not Irish. What a load of feckin baloney. It's weird for Brits and I am sure many Irish and Europeans, this Irish American, Italian American stuff just sounds daft and like you have an inferiority complex. As though being just American is not enough or a bit dull.

You know why they do it because they want to attract a fan base. It is similar but to a lot lesser extent if a boxer over here comes from a particular area and tries to get local support from a football ground.

Unfortunately there is a lot of football rivalry.
