Default Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Lidocaine

I keep hearing that Floyd has failed drug tests 3 times. Not sure if this has to do with Lidocaine or not. If I remember correctly, Lidocaine is not illegal in Nevada, right?

Haven't heard about that, but the hand injections aren't illegal in Nevada and he hasn't fought outside of the state in about 10 years. Would be surprised if he was getting them that far back but it's possible, pretty sure we'd have heard about it if he'd failed for PEDS or something.

I heard rumours that he has failed 3 drug tests but I think it was just some journalist trying to smear his accomplishments. His use of Lidocaine is interesting. No doubt its a PED. Its not mentioned as a specific illegal substance by the nevada commision but they do say this "Drug or injection that has not been approved by the Commission, including, but not limited to, the drugs or injections listed in subsection 2, in any part of the body, either before or during a contest or exhibition, to or by any unarmed combatant, is prohibited". Its not on the approved list hence it is illegal. However, the testing floyd insists on using does not test for Lidocaine, so he cannot be caught? Its certainly a grey area.

Well in fairness that means his opponents must be free to use it as well, if they thought it would help? I don't know that it would do anything for a fighter who didn't have hand troubles, not saying that doesn't make it a PED though.

The head of the NSAC has stated Floyd hasn't used lidocaine in something like 8 years.

Beyond that the whole Floyd failed thing is trumped up nonsense. All the tests are public as pass/fail. But the man with the agenda wanted more. There is a thorough article out there debunking every statement the man made. His evidence "he had heard in drug testing circles" is absurd. As if people in the field are separated like high schoolers gossiping.

It's pointless to argue against it though because the people that want to believe it will. It's like people out there saying Pac agreed on everything. That is thoroughly disproven but evidence doesn't matter. In this age it's only about what people choose to believe "sign the contract"

I have no idea if Floyd uses Lydocaine, but I can tell you that I also don't believe a thing that the head of the NSAC says relating to Floyd. I mean come on, man.
