I think the death sentence may actually be more expensive. There are so many automatic appeals then more appeals all the way up to the Supreme court. Usually takes at least a decade. Since this is federal the numbers may be different but state death sentences are very expensive.
Yes it costs more to kill them than to keep them in jail for the rest of their lives.

The death sentence is in some cases, is justified we are talking about extremely dangerous people
here not your average murderer,! theses people have no place in society they remain a danger locked
up, you could say it's inhuman to execute people it's also inhuman to blow up innocent people.

What ever you feel sometimes you have a problem, locking it away and forgetting about does not
solve it, best sometimes to get rid of the problem.!!!!!!

The Boston bombings should make 'Real IRA' supporters in the US stop and think » Spectator Blogs

Obviously not all Bostonians supported the IRA, but a huge number did and even in this time of peace in NI, worryingly actually still do support the so called, REAL IRA, who have not sworn an end to violence, or bombing of civilians. Even on the British mainland we grew up in a place that at times had no dustbins in major cities so prolific was the IRA's mainland bombing campaign, funded by American sympathisers and yet apparently terrorists are a new thing to the US, as though there was any trace of honour in supporting the IRA.

But not straight away..make them suffer.

What I love about the American death sentence is that they keep them on death row for a number of years..the amount of internal stress and pain that must cause them is only a good thing.

The UK needs to change its tired, pathetic laws and get rid of this good behaviour half sentence rubbish!!

    SICK OF IT!
