Thread: Cuban cigars

It's on the Horizon. With Obama normalizing relations with Cuba I see Cuban cigars being soon sold in the US. Cuba already has difficulty meeting world demand with cigars. I have a contact here in the US where I get Cuban cigars but I think Cuba supplying the US cigar quality may go down. I've bought Cubans where the wrap is still a bit green. They can't properly age their cigars. I love a nice Cohiba, Bolivar, Flor de Cano etc but I fear for the quality of these cigars.

Ps I think the fuente opus is just as good as any Cuban out there, anyone try one. Don't know if they have them in Europe.

I expect the price of Cuban cigars to surge once they hit the American market. It will calm when the novelty wears off. Yes, smoking will kill you, but life will do it eventually, a couple of Miles posts Damon near killed me not long ago.

That is quite true, Walrus. My posting is an acquired taste much akin to smoking cigars.

Cuba will have to prove they still have it in terms of cigars. There are Cubans who are just as good rolling in Miami, The DR, and elsewhere.

Apparently there is a link between smoking and schizophrenia - so Benson and Hedges are one and the same bloke.
