I like Dempsey.
Clearly not the best, but I guess he was the first "celebrity" heavyweight champ. He was a bad boy and lived the life. His fights were pretty entertaining too. I always think of him in a similar way to Tyson.

"I was out of action longer than Cassius Clay. They made a 'big deal' out that 'Shit'
with Clay being forced out of the Ring. He was still a young man when he came back.
He was no old 'shitter' sitting around."
"For me, it was part of doing business. I never cried about it, and took my loss to
Gene Tunney like a Champion. He beat me 'fair-and-square'. With Clay, he 'Fucking'
whined like a Baby."

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
This Is True
Jack Dempsey was only {Age; 28 years, 3 months} when he began his 'so-called' Hiatus.
When he returned on September 23, 1926 >
He was {Age; 31 years, 3 months}.
He was by all accounts 'stale and tight', and was not the 'Best of Dempsey' had he stayed
fully active.
