    Ring Magazine

    June 5, 1964

    Bob Foster
    Age .......... 26 years, 1 month
    Record ..... 14-2-0 {10 KO's}

'Ring Magazine' did not give Robert Lloyd Foster the credit he deserved early in his career. While most of
the Boxing Pundits regarded Bob Foster as one of the most dangerous Light-Heavyweight's in the Division
as early as mid-1964, 'Ring Magazine' failed to rank Bob in the Top 10 of the 175 lb. Division.

Their reasoning was, that Bob Foster had lost {2} of his '16-Bouts'.

    ~ Bob Foster's 1st Big Bout ~

    Friday ~ May 8, 1964

    The Coliseum ~ Chicago, Illinois

    Bob Foster - 14-2-0 {10 KO's} ~ 171 1/2 lbs. ~ {Age; 26 years, 0 months} ~ 6' 3 1/2"
    vs.
    Allen Thomas - 19-3-1 {10 KO's} ~ 175 lbs. ~ {Age; 23 years, 3 months} ~ 5' 11"

Allen Thomas is the local fighter from Chicago. Allen is a fast-handed boxer-puncher, who is
'highly-touted' and is being mentioned as a Light-Heavyweight World Title Challenger for the
    Fall of 1964.

Allen is coming off a 10-Round Draw with Peruvian - Mauro Mina on February 19, 1964. Mina was
the #4 World Ranked Light-Heavyweight. That bout was held in Lima, Peru - and many stated that
it was the American who controlled the bout, and that Allen was jobbed out an 'upset' Decision win.

Allen Thomas is now the #9 World Ranked Light-Heavyweight.

Bob Foster, is 'not' ranked in the Top 20.
