    Default Tyson deserves credit

    See

Tyson Fury: Heavyweight champion says he may quit boxing - BBC Sport

I have never been a Tyson fan, but gave him credit for winning fair and square against Vlad.

His 'media' pieces have left something to be desired and previously looked decidedly amateurish.

The latest one however is a masterpiece, and all credit to his press agent whoever he is.

See BBC article about Tyson threatening to retire.

If Tyson retires where does Vlad go? Nowhere? He has to start again from scratch! Tyson meanwhile can legitimately 'come out' of retirement to fight any of the mix he fancies, maybe for megabux if its Wilder/Haye/Joshua.

Someones being seriously clever here about strategy and good luck to them.

Apologies for starting a thread that will introduce abuse from the Channel Islands.

He'd be a fool to retire because of the bullshit and would be known from then on as a one hit wonder. He used the same game to get himself a title shot and played the system as well as anyone.

It's a bit weird, could just be a way of trying to put himself in a better negotiating position for the rematch? I have a hard time believing they couldn't work that out and find a venue, why not just do it in Germany again failing something else.

Tyson has reconsidered and just like the original Tyson he is saying it for affect.

Firstly, I mean this in all seriousness, and I'm not trying to start a fresh row with Ross. The thing is Fury has admitted himself, he's fucked in the head! He's said about how he suffers from depression, he feels worthless when he's out of camp , on the piss and putting on 5 stone between camps. He's also said he's Bi-Polar , violent mood swings, says one thing that he genuinely believes at the time, then the next day , the exact opposite. Loads of examples of this, but the one perfect one is him having dinner with Lennox Lewis 24 hrs before the Klit fight, "everything is cool" and then less than 48 hrs. Later he's slagging off Lewis and calling him out!
This is why when all that bullshit was going on about the Sports Personality, I said most of it should be ignored.
I don't believe everything that Boxers say, but somehow I think there is something in this.
I'm not privy to what goes on within Team Fury, but I think he should seek professional help. He comes from a background where that may not be the done thing, I'm not sure, But I think it's the first step to putting some sort of stability in his life and pride or stigma shouldn't get in the way of that.
I just hope we're not looking at some tragedy 5 or 10 years down the line.

I couldn't care less about anything fury has to say as he is embarrassing , I will judge him on his boxing bouts, right now he is the world champ .
If he retires then the interest will go and he becomes a nobody .

Its very possible that he's gone as far as he wanted to go and maintaining the top can be more difficult than getting there. Don't think he'll retire. Fury is a one who says a lot and can never sit quite but he could very well deflate mentally. Only this time in the ring
