    Default My uncles funeral

I just returned from Boston where I attended my uncles funeral. He was a really nice guy and new some of the popular boxers from Massachusetts. He had a good life and passed peacefully so it wasn't a tragic event but nonetheless its always sad to see a lived one go. Whenever I attend a funeral it always hits home that we are all heading the same place. Although I do have faith I am still struggling with doubt but I do hope we all meet again in a different realm. My best friend died when I was 17 so like many of us I learned early that life can be fleeting. My uncle was the type of guy who volunteered at his church for 20 years. So be friendly with your families, I say that although I don't talk to my own brother but in the end we never know the last time we will see someone. I do hope all your families are safe and happy, I don't get to see mine often enough as we are scattered about the us

Sorry for your loss brother. I was blessed with one Uncle and he was killed when I was 2. Cherish the good time and reflect often when it comes to family.

Me and the Mrs went to one of our friends funerals last week. He was only 3 years older than us. Persisting it down with rain, but a good turn out with a lot traveling from a long way away. He was not religious, but the vicar chap, that sort of linked all the readings etc, did a good job in helping people remember him, and what he brought to their lives without once mentioning religion. My friend who is currently undergoing chemo for advanced Cancer came down from Manchester, and put on the wake, preparing food etc in a local Pub he owns down here. That spoke volumes about how much everyone thought of him.

I was at funeral where my friends twin babies died shortly after their birth. They had the strength to read out what they felt and it was very emotional. What i vividly remember was that they said when you go home hug your child for us and appreciate them.

Uncles can be the coolest of relatives for nephews.
Love your nephews, like a cool uncle walrus would.

I kick myself when I realized one day my nephews asked me to take them to the movies...
Next time it was to a party...wow...time...
