    Charles Mingus- Oh yeah.
    George Gershwin-Porgy and Bess(original version)
    Clifford Brown & Max Roach
    Nina Simone- Pastel blues
    Miles DAvis-Kind of blue
    Radiohead- In Rainbows
    Hank Mobley- Soul Station
    Joni Mitchell- Court and spark
The Velvet Underground And Nico- @ruthless rocco I guess you're alright.
The Chieftains and Van Morrison- Irish Heartbeat
Howlin Wolf- Moanin in the moonlight
Something by Duke Ellington. He's my favourite ever but I have no idea what his better albums were as he recorded so many and I don't own any of them.
    12 is not enough!
Court And Spark is amazing. Kind Of Blue indisputable - I've listened to this more than any other album, I figure. -- I'm more of a Haitian Fight Song man myself when it comes to Mingus... Hank Mobley! VU, well...-- take your pick.
Yes I love Haitian fight song almost as much as any Mingus tune, not sure what else was on that album though. The track Hog calling blues on Oh yeah is actually based around it, and the album overall is a complete riot. This is probably what made me pick it.
