That is more down to stupidity, Canelo is clear corruption where the judge has been paid with cocaine and mexican hookers.

Ah, ok, it's stupidity when a Brit gets a dodgy card, but it's corruption if it happens against a Brit ?

Unfortunately I did not see the whole fight. I saw about two and one half rounds and I must say this, the seeing eye dog should have scored this fight. I actually thought Khan was at least able to go further than I expected and he did. Unfortunately people paid good money for a bully to slap around one of the smaller kids. Khan, when he was boxing and jabbing actually in my eyes exposed Alvarez who a certain post was wondering if he got the passenger instead of the tired weak cab driver instead. He did however see that Khan forgot to get in position and the right hand over the left and his weak chin caught full force and nothing can change the fact that he won. I did not see the opening rounds but I heard that he chased Khan. That isn't what ring work is about so if I guessed wrong let me know.

I didn't watch the fight until today and I don't really understand the outrage. The cards were bad but even before the KO shot Khan was wilting. Canelo had his best round in the 4th, bettered that in the 5th winning the round and KOed him in the 6th. The fight had turned. If the shot didn't come in the 6th it was still coming.

And frankly I don't see why Khan is getting so much credit. Yes he took early rounds. But he had done nothing to deter Canelo. He was winning on movement and speed but absorbing the greater punishment. It wasn't ever going to work for 12 full.

I just saw the ko so i have no idea what the fight was looking like but Khan has always been a very strong fighter in the opening rounds. Also with Canelo i have no idea how he weighs so much because he looks like he fucking 5'7 even though he listed at like 5'10.

I had it 3-2 for canelo, although i think the thrid round could have gone either way. I thought a lot of khans punches were being blocked and canelo was doing some good body work and damaging khan.. The punch stats seem to reflect this too, lederman also had it 3-2 canelo but neither of those(lederman&compubox) are perferct :S .. Canelo started badly/slowly but was certainly taking control

Had it a clear 4-1 Khan entering 6th but you could see a physical shift late fifth and start of ko round. Khan looked like a guy trying to scramble up a mountain of soft sand. He was decent with a flurry here or there and had a clear plan probably rehearsed a hundred times but you could feel the roof about to collapse. Wasn't at all impressed with Canelos whole approach and he almost looked dismissive from the start, loading up and missing very badly in spots trying to land that one shot.

He was boxing beautiful through the first 4 rounds and doing everything right. He took full advantage of Alvarez's need to come to a complete stop and reset to throw a power shot. Alvarez missed more times over the first 4 then I've ever seen him miss before save Floyd. Khan controlled the distance perfectly, changed direction, used the entire ring and his speed did not abandon him. Something happened to Khan after he got cut in the 5th. I think he lost that round and you could see that not only did he step in giving away what led him to command the previous 4 rounds but he started stepping straight back and straight up when Alvarez started making contact. Its like his brain turned off and he completely left the game plan and it happened in an instant. I cant believe he was on empty. In round 6 he walked right into the pocket more or less and stayed there like he had to ko Alvarez or lose over the cut. A cut that was not even an issue after the initial slice. He simply cant handle any kind adversity. He's the one that has supplied the blueprint.

3-2 Canelo was fair enough which two of the judges had it.

Khan didn't lose because his brain went, he was boxing terrific, but Canelo was consistently throwing his right hand to the body waiting to trap him, switched it up stairs and that's all she wrote. Both men deserve credit.

I agree with all of this. And add to it that I don't think Canelo deserves much credit either. I thought he was very laboured the way he tried to get inside of Khan. I thought he looked poor if I'm honest up until that one punch.

only one of the judges had canelo at 3-2, the other had it 3-2 for khan and the other rather generous to canelo had it 4-1 for alvarez..

I think 3-2 either way was the correct score. The scorecards really aren't outrageous.

    4-1 is pushing it though.

He won the first 4 on most peoples scorecards across the web. Who cares what the hacks like Byrd and Feldman had. They are two of the worst boxing judges on the planet and Khan mentally fell apart in round 5 and a blind man could see it in real time. Khan was putting on a clinic and Alvarez could barely touch him over the first 4 rounds. Khans the one that folded upstairs at the moment he faced something adverse which is what he always does and we can post the fight right here and I tell you and point out the precise moment when he fell apart.

I am not so sure, it looked to me like a lot of kahns punches were being blocked. Canelo threw more and landed more throughout the fight(according to compubox :S), watching it on the tv I thought canelo was landing more and more powerful too, canelos body shots looked particulary damaging and seemed to take a lot of kahn, canelo was managing to feint him pretty good too and it was a feint that set up the ko punch. I guess it depends how you score fights really and how you compare various things, movement to damage , head to body shots and so on.

also what is so bad about feldmans card that you keep having to name him, he had kahn ahead, I have seen a few people online score it 3-2 various ways, ledermann on the broadcast too.

ops it was adelaide byrd that had kahn ahead my mistake:S

Yes. I'd say Canelo has peaked. Khan definitely made him look bad. But those body shots were hurting Khan. After the 3rd his mouth was wide open. I think it was the 4th(but I could be wrong on which round) Khan actually jumped completely off the ground in an attempt to soften a blow. If you look at Khan when he is on the canvas his left side is badly bruised from the straight rights.

It just seemed exactly as we all thought it would be except Canelo looking a little worse and the KO a little more spectacular.
