Bit harsh on Whyte, he's dominating really.
yeah, but his opponent is not even British level and has took the fight at 3 weeks notice. Whyte is blowing like fuck as well, and he doesn't even look like he's taking it seriously.
Ok, Allen is tough, but for fucks sake , if you think you're gonna be a World Champ in 2017 like Whyte recently said, he should be looking better than this.
To be fair Allen is better than people think. He doesnt have the experience he should have had and also he could obviously have done with more than 3 weeks notice.

Whyte isnt very good and could not put a dent in Allen and yet he had Joshua all over the place? Joshua has tone more experience than Allen though.

Allen took a necessary risk, it didnt come off but he will get more fights now, hes now known as being tough and maybe not very dangerous. Hes a perfect opponent as a chellenger fr a title but needs more experience because I believe more experience and fitness and hes better than this.

Whyte might thinks that he wants a world title shot next year, but he isn't going to get it. Whyte has a lot of talk, but realistically he needs some domestic honours before he starts looking at anything else. I doubt he'll ever be filling arenas on his own though, didn't seem to have much support in there tonight.

Good opening round from Warrington, really sharp punches, and it does look like he's throwing some heavy punches, although he's not really a puncher. Hoping Warrington win, as I don't think the whole thing with Hyland not trying to make the weight was a little disrespectful.

This is a good fight. A lot of speed and skill. It is a close fight.

To be fair, Allen isn't better than I thought. Yes he took the fight at 3 weeks notice , maybe because he didn't think the opportunity would ever come back and it was totally his choice.
I reckon the BBBoC just about had it bang on when they didn't sanction Allen for the British title fight. He ain't good enough and he ain't experienced enough.
Allen is tough obviously and it's obvious why he's a very popular sparring partner. But to be a decent fighter you need more than that. You don't win fights by taking punches .
And I thought Whyte was pony as well.

I reckon Warrington is actually looking a level above so far. I don't think he'll ever be a knockout puncher, but he's landing plenty, and they aren't tiki-taka shots.

For me Warrington is winning this one well so far, outworking Hyland and throwing some very nice shots. Hyland fighting in flurries, but not doing enough to win any of the rounds. A good workout to keep Warrington ready for a World title shot in the autumn? (I nearly typed fall, but then had to correct it to Autumn...bloody freelance work for Americans!)

Hyland needs to go for it now.

Down goes Hyland, great flurry from Warrington to finish that, and Hyland really never had a hope from the second round onwards. Warrington looks good, and he may be getting more cumulative power.

Aye, good first half of the evening for boxing entertainment I thought. Give it 45 minutes and on to the next card!
