Yeah Ann Wolfe nor Pops are defensive teachers. That's why he looked for another trainer.
I do think he can beat certain fighters. But it seems Ann and whoever aren't cherry picking his fights.

Exactly. With strategic and thought through instruction like " you get on him and stomp his biatch motherfookin punk ass James, fook that motherfooker up now" its safe to say his head will remain a piñata.

LMAO! I am literally amazed that we haven't heard the "N" word from Ann on multiple occasions.
I do remember the round he stopped Angulu she said " This is Yo' muthafuckin destiny!"

Ann, why do you think he lost to Ishida?

"James is a pit-bull. You can't train him like no muthafuckin poodle. Shit hurt me to see him laying there with his nuts all up in the air"
    Ann Wolfe on Kirkland loss!

I was never high on Kirkland at anytime in his career. You put him in against a world class fighter and folds like a lawn chair. Against Canelo Alvarez whenever Canelo got Kirkland in the center of the ring he found himself in perfect punching range for Alvarez. Instead of working his way inside and slipping punches he walks straight in. He got caught again and again and never learn from that mistake. Ann Wolf or no Ann Wolf Kirkland at his best is a class B fighter. Cotto would beat the shit out of Kirkland.

He didn't look that good in his last fights and I really doubt that after all he's been through (that does include what he's responsible for), he can turn the tables. He should retire, plain and simple.

No qualms from me. . I'm a ride 'n die with Kirkland to his end. I love "Bring-it" fighters.
Kirkland, Maidana, Pavlik, Paul Williams, workhorse Glencoffe Johnson. Those guys never were meant to be conduits for the sweet science. Just give 'n take hombres for however long they can last.

Not all brawlers can cut the ring off. But angry mofos with passion for pain?? They can! Kirkland has yet to follow a foe .he hunts them down.......it's do-or-die when fighting Mandingo.

While many fans liked Ray Leonard...I dug the shit outta' Johnny Tapia. OK, he could actually box, but he preferred to BANG!

Gimme Perpetual motion Aaron Pryor over the sure sweetness of his successor SwePea.
Most of all. .Give me that 4-letter word profane mouth Ann "beat-his-azz" Wolfe's pep talk over Teddy 'we're-firemen' Atlas anyday!!!!

I agree with you on the blood and guts fighters. The fighters that you mention above in that category were not master technicians but i think the case can be made for most at least one point in their career where the seemed to have a consciousness about what they were looking for when they went into the tool box. Pavlick against Taylor, Maidana vs floyd developed a jab, williams against margarito, Glen johnson in the tarver fights maybe. They kind knew blindly wading in wasnt gonna cut it so even if just for a fight or series of fights they raised their game and became a more complete fighter. I've yet to see this with kirkland, which is frustrating because he seems to assume with being used and blasted out is what he was here for, like a pitbull raised for fights. Those other guys at least for a brief period seemed to be... I guess the term would be "self aware" ?
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

No crime committed. A damn shame to incarcerate any man for that. Like it benefits the kid.
Government could've sliced up that Canelo check.
