Then down here in Oz we have Green hasbeen vs Ant Mundane and the public will buy into it.
Riveting stuff I tell you.
Definitely a few good fights coming up in the next few months. October has been a horrible month to be a boxing fan
Nice, definitely a good handful of fights, was Haymon able to secure a new network deal with Showtime or something? I think all of these fights involve a fighter of his. I remember Granados upsetting Amir Inam on the Bute-DeGale undercard, exciting fighter with a really high output and a lot of guts. Worried he'll be outgunned and give Broner too many openings, but I'm sure everyone would love to see an upset there.
From 0 to 100 in sixty seconds is Showtime Decent scraps building there. I'm not sold at all on Mikey Garcia being fast tracked after time out and coming back at 135-140 and he should be in deep with Klaticanin. That is a solid card! Thurman v Garcia needs to happen but the cynic in me will wait until inner politics play thru to believe Haymon.
Hi Diane.
Sad indictment on the state of Aus boxing when the general press is laughing at and hanging shit on 'The greatest fight in Aussie history'.
Funny stuff here:
Haha
154 Jarrett Hurd fighting on the Danny Garcia card! Think this guy is one to watch. Original opponent had to pull out so now it's Jo Jo Dan
Jesus Cuellar (28-1, 21 KOs) will defend his secondary belt against former three-division world titleholder Abner Mares (29-2-1, 15 KOs) six months after it was postponed due to Mares’ inability to get a boxing license in New York because of a failed eye exam.... I root for Abner Mares because he's always willing to risk all in order to land his own best punches and he signed a boxing glove for my son... But, I worry for Abner because Mares had surgery for a detached retina in 2008 and think Cuellar will be ruthless and try to target the old injury... Also the co-feature will pit junior middleweight world titleholder Jermall Charlo (24-0, 18 KOs), of Houston, against mandatory challenger Julian "J Rock" Williams (22-0-1, 14 KOs), of Philadelphia, and figures to be as competitive as the main event.... The world title doubleheader will be on Dec. 10, 2016 at the Galen Center on the USC campus....
No big fights on tonight?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Vasquez JR and Juanma are fighting tonight, does that count? I'll probably try and watch just for the train wreck factor, I think(hope) Vasquez isn't as dangerous as the last few guys to pole axe Juanma, but it's definitely a farce of a matchup. Lopez should not be fighting and you have to wonder if he has anyone looking out for him.
