Default Conor McGregor toys with Paulie Malinaggi in sparring?

    http://www.msn.com/en-ie/sport/news/...wNY?li=BBr5KbJ

This picture of their sparring match has gone viral. It does not make Paulie, nor boxing look very good.

I say this picture doesn't tell the full story, but it is possible I suppose that a peaking, in shape, younger fighter like Conor could possibly be getting the better of an aging, out of shape, retired Paulie.

Still, I think Paulie likely outboxed him in sparring, even now.

What say you guys? Did Paulie school Conor or get schooled?
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Its impossible to say from one single picture, but schooling Paulie (would be true) and making it a proof that he has a solid chance against Mayweather is all another thing.

I think if he schooled Paulie he would released the video not a picture.

If we look back Conor released video of him getting the better of Van Heerden so he responded with expanded video that showed Conor getting worked.

So before Paulie went there I was of the opinion they would make Paulie sign confidentiality and Conor would be the only person to record. If Conor won we would hear about it both through video and Paulie(because Paulie wants to sell the fight too with his television affiliations). Paulie said it was a few good rounds and he won't speak about details. So we got Paulie not selling and Conor not releasing video. If you put 2+2 together....

Maybe they release video later, who knows. What we do know is a picture says nothing. I can find pictures of Walsh landing solid on Gervonta Davis or Pedraza, but he kicked their arses.

Be better clowning if he was actually landing clean and putting him down. Looks like bit of a staged dope there in a still shot in this age of video. One of these guys could actually box with top tier guys, one needs photo ops.

How could you take anything from that? If Paulie had any pride invested in this he probably wouldn't have taken the job, he was as vocal as anyone that this fight was a joke from the get go. Considering he's now retired, not a world class fighter, and probably being paid well for this gig, he'd be more than willing to leak some stupid staged photo. Say even it isn't and Connor did well, Paulie got knocked out by the guy who plays the banjo in Deliverance last time he fought, it's not a measuring stick for anything.

It looks like Conor isn't sure where his hands are supposed to be and Paulie is trying to show him.

If that is the best they can show of Colin, a picture not a video, then he is duly fecked even by a powder puff Floyd. This events gets even more embarrassing.

It's Paulie. Maybe he is asking him to hit him with his best shots. It's not Lemieux or Joshua, it's Paulie. You would presume that although Paulie may keep himself fit he is not going to be anywhere near the level of an active fighter in any discipline, and if that is at the end of a long spar then it is quite realistic. There is not really any boxer out there that is going to prepare you for Floyd even if you are a seasoned boxer yourself so it is academic anyway. Maidana is the blueprint and that is the only sensible way for McCregor to approach this. Make it messy and unpredictable, forget about clean shots and trying to box, balance on that edge and don't get yourself DQd but lean on him, hug him, spin him, give him a bit of his own elbow medicine, but thrown properly and put the fear of the rabid madmen into his head.

It will be over quick one way or the other and could be a lot of fun.

Well, if Conor simply beat Paulie up he has no clue how to run a championship camp. Because after the session he invited Paulie to stay through the entire camp. That isn't what you do if you just easily beat a guy up. You keep a guy through an entire camp if you get good work as Paulie said.

According to Paulie, there's a method to Connor's madness: https://www.mmafighting.com/2017/7/2...conors-madness

In the article, Pailie seems to say that McGregor has an interesting plan, something that, apparently, will detonate from what we normally see (bringing with him some elements from his MMA background and stuff). I think that it makes sense that they'll try something totally unorthodox to fight Floyd as there is not a single chance in hell that using the conventional boxing, he could do anything meaningful in the King's court on his very own set of rules.
It's a good idea to try something totally "mad" that could perhaps surprise Floyd. That's their best chance, if that's true that they try something totally new, I top them my hat for trying it but I still believe it will be too little to win a fight against a Floyd that will just do as usual; take no chances at all.

I agree with what has been said before, if mcgreggor had got the better of Pauli we'd have stories and probably a video

Instead all we're hearing is that it's staying private
