OK I'm going to try out this new system and see how it goes

Training this last week has been ok but not great.

Only 3 runs for the week and 4 night sessions.

Had Judo Monday and Wednesday, Boxing Tuesday and Thursday.

Took Friday off as didn't feel great. I started to get a tight neck at boxing on Thursday night and wanted to stretch before I started training but Kristine had already started training when i got there so i felt obligated to get started ASAP.

Friday my body hated me. Took Saturday off since kristine wasn't opening the gym to train anyway and I still felt a bit under the weather.

Sunday an old jogging buddy from the country came up to visit me. We took turns pushing her pram while jogging for 45 mins together which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Judo is still going really well but It's making the platue I'm facing at boxing more clear. I want to learn more than I am and I'm not sure what my mental block is. Something to think about!

Well I think my last entry was the Snake Pit on Saturday - didn't have boxing training after that since Kristine wasn't opening up - something about renovations done on her house.

Sunday training was cancelled for similar reasons. I used to to recover since I was tired enough to sleep most of the day Saturday and still a bit tired on Sunday. My flatmate has lost her voice from a killer flu so I'm thinking my immune system is probably just holding it off.

Monday morning I went for a 10 min walk warm up and 50 minute run. I ran around a nearby horse paddock which is very soft and not too different from the snake pit. Theos ass is mine next time! Monday night off Judo to catch up on uni crap.

Tuesday morning nothing but Tuesday night had boxing training and did run, swim, weights afterwards. Run being 2 X 600 m, 2 x 400 m and 2 X 200m. The swim was the 4 sets of 25 m medley order sprints with 10 secs break between sprints and 1 min between sets.

I went to bed almost at the same time but felt a lot more energetic during the day and fresh for boxing.

A morning run doesn't ware me out too much but weights seem to make me too tired to work effectively during the day.

I slept pretty soundly Tuesday night! I might keep weights to boxing nights from now on.

Worked on some light sparring Tuesday night basically trying to put some of the movement we've been working into practice. Timing still needs work but I'm beginning to get the idea even if I can't do it really well just yet.

I finished off with some bag work and something about my footwork clicked. I think the hop in and out we're doing puts my feet in the same position as diagonal movement somehow. It seems smother when i think of it that way anyway!

Wednesday - 1 hour cardio in the morning - same as on Monday.

Judo at night - went well - getting faster at ichi comme work and am ready to grade for yellow belt. I've been ready for a while but need to pay to register with the association. Am doing that tomorrow.

Thursday morning - run again except had to start early to catch the bus out to Roseworthy. It was too dark to run on the soft dirt track so only ran on the streets. Knowing I have a hard session tonight I just did 10 minutes warm up walk, 30 run, 10 walk.
