Tense

Ive been quiet over the past few days. Im somewhat anxious because I know that my time for reading is coming to an end and I need to start planning and writing my 4000 word essay. The essay writing process is a tough one for me because I set such high standards for myself. I can spend significant amounts of time rewriting and getting in an occasional strop when it isnt going quite how I would like it. Anyway, one more intense week at the books and then it will be time to put pen to paper.
The weather is lovely at the moment out here. Im in my short sleeved shirts already! I even popped down to the park for a stretch of mid afternoon reading yesterday afternoon. Just me and the retired people who seem to have nothing else to do but sit in the park too. I got a fair bit done. I had a weird experience when a young kid who was walking by decided to throw down his bag, walk up to me and then make a bow. In a clear voice he then said "Annyeong Haseyo!" (a polite hello). He then picked up his bag and was gone. Thats one of the nice things about Korea. It has always felt so safe. No need to worry about the young folk here because generally they really are very respectful. Not like the hoodlums back home.
And of course the Calzaghe: Hopkins fight is looming. Im very excited about it. I spent yesterday evening scouring You Tube and watching recent interviews with both fighters. I even rewatched the Kessler and Lacy fights. Wonderful performances and Im hopeful that Joe will bring the goods again. The fight airs on Sunday morning where I am. I find it impossible to get much done before a big fight like this so its most likely that my health plan will go out the window Saturday night and I shall indulge in a bit of beer guzzling. After all, why not? Fights like this dont come too often.
