Rainbows

Ive been listening to Radiohead's "In Rainbows" album today. It's better than "Hail to the Thief" which I found to be patchy in places. That had some great songs but too much meandering blandness. This has more songwriting craft and nous about it. A more thought through piece of work and each of the songs plays its part in making a very cohesive album. I've also been listening to the new REM album. Its not their best work by a long shot but there are some very good songs on it. I especially like Man Sized Wreath. It has a great throw away chorus.
Its been a bit of a throw away day too really. I made up a quality sausages, mash and onion lunch after a couple of relatively easy going morning classes. I should be studying now but I just cant be bothered really. Just enjoying my new CD's. I also bought the Indiana Jones boxset because I love the films and Im quite excited about the prospect of a new one due soon. I might watch Raiders tonight. Its the lull before the storm because as Ive said before Ive got to get writing over the weekend.....and Im not looking forward to it!!
