Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
:action: A fair undercard either, this is a fight a lot of us fans have been waiting to see, it's a test for Pacquiao, and who knows, Bradley could surprise us. In any event it should be a competitive and entertaining fight, well worth watching.
June 9
At Las Vegas (HBO PPV): Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Jr., 12 rounds, for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title; Jorge Arce vs. Jesus Rojas, 10 rounds, junior featherweights; Mike Jones vs. Randall Bailey, 12 rounds, for vacant IBF welterweight title; Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Teon Kennedy, 12 rounds, for Rigondeaux's WBA junior featherweight title.
Bradley looks to be a credible well trained opponent for Pacquiao, he's undefeated, a champion, and has some nice wins over a few top dogs. I believe however, that Pac is on a different level, and nothing Bradley has trained for is going to prepare him for what he'll face in the ring Saturday night.
I see Tim making a fight of it in the early rounds, but Pacquiao taking over the fight in the mid rounds, with his speed, power, and experience. A UD for Pacquiao, with a possible late round TKO.
Cheers

In addition to the main event, I'm also interested in the Mike Jones vs. Randall Bailey fight. Bailey is a bit of a long shot, but you can never count him out with that monsterous right hand of his and he knows this is his last shot at a world title and future big paydays.

Yup, Rigondeaux vs. Teon Kennedy might not be a bad fight either, a good card, just not worth buying the PPV.. But i'll find a good stream. ;D
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley on HBO PPV Saturday night
looking forward to the main event and Jones vs Bailey. Bailey has that big eraser.
As for Rigondeaux vs Kennedy-, he isn't that strong of an opponent for Rigo. Kennedy has a Loss and a Draw coming in. Not exactly the greatest sign.
Arce's fight seems like a mismatch. Rojas had a draw in his last fight against a journeyman who had lost 4 straight before fighting Rojas. Another bad sign.
Honestly for a PPV, how about Rigondeaux and Arce vs better fighters. If they had done that then I would be happy with this PPV.
After watching Mayweather vs Cotto in a theatre for 18 dollars, I'm not buying any more PPV at home (this ppv isn't in theatres) unless it is absolutely a must buy. This isn't. Stream hunting time it will be!!!

You've got a point about Rigondeaux and Arce vs better fighters, this being a PPV, seems like they could have scraped up better competition. That's reason 100 not to buy a PPV.
As for stream hunting, I just bought a new Desktop PC a few weeks back, with all the bells and whistles, so i'm thinking that it will help with the video quality and perhaps not lag as much. I'll find out Saturday.
Fucking computers are like women, can't live with 'um, can't live without 'um.

It should be shown as part of the PPV.
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley on HBO PPV Saturday night
only 4 televised fights.
arce/rojas
rigo/kennedy
jones/bailey
pac/bradley
I wish they had better opponents for rigo and arce. AND MORE FIGHTS!!! How about 5 or 6 fights for a big PPV!
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley on HBO PPV Saturday night
It's really a shit card imo, and they will probably charge 70 dollars for as well. The only fight that isn't a forgone conclusion in my mind is due to an old ass Bailey having a punchers chance. Thank god there's a bar playing it close to me, I'd never buy this one. Have people been watching the 24/7's for this as well? Freaking terrible.
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley on HBO PPV Saturday night
I will tune in as usual and will be rooting for the underdog. I'm hoping for a decent headbutt or two.
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley on HBO PPV Saturday night
I've been a fan of Tim Bradley for the longest, even after he dodged Khan. Now he's being rewarded with a Pacquiao fight. Odd in a way.
I like Bradley here to either (1) lose a controversial decision or (2) scrape by with a close win. I'll be rooting for him. War Desert Storm.
As opposed to the views expressed above, I like the Bailey vs. Jones fight. Jones knows he can't stink out another big event and hope to make top billing in the future. I expect him to engage. Rigo vs. Kennedy is a fight that should be a blow out for Rigo. I like seeing him box, so I'm excited for it too. The Arce fight doesn't do too much for me.

I hope Manny destroys Bradley, he writes checks with his mouth that his ass can't cash.

Would it matter to you if those headbutts will come from Pacquiao? ;)
