That was easy ;D Lets talk about George Foreman and why I think he is the quite possibly the 3rd best Heavyweight of all time
Shoot, I love big george but I think that's too high. In terms of pure boxing ability there are a lot of better fighters... A prime Tyson, Lewis, Ali and Joe Louis are all better in the ring in my opinion.
He hit like a mule and had an amazing late career but prime for prime there's at least 4 people above him in those stakes. ;)
Ali showed us that he didn't have much of a boxing brain and of you could hang in there with him you could beat him.
I'm in awe of his come back career but the division was weak at the time (which still doesn't greatly cheapen what he did) and had things happened slightly differently against Moorer it would of been a nice try but a lopsided UD.
I hate having to argue against George but 3rd best is just too high...

Albeit a a weak division at the time George was in his mid 40's when he beat the Universally recognized Heavyweight champ of the world, not a fringe abc belt but George was the man.Quote:

He did put a beat down on Joe... but Joe's style was made for that... like driving a jeep into a freight train. he had heart and strength but that alone isn't going to make him a top 3 all time great heavyweight. He was very limited in terms of boxing. Which does make his later acheivements even more outstanding. top 10, maybe even top 5.
Maybe I'm just upset because the new george foreman grill we got is shite compared to the old one.
