Froch now want Calzaghe, 48 because he thinks he is beautiful
Would Froch really risk his new nose to fight a man 6 years older who has been retired for 12 years? Is he being naughty looking for weaknesses like growing head size and high blood pressure?
What are your thoughts on this gripping potential FOTY?

@Memphis, the full title wouldn't fit. Could you please alter the title by erasing the blood pressure part? Big head on its own is quite funny.

Froch is a cock and still hurt by EVERYONE saying Joe is a far superior boxer. Froch better record, maybe, Calzaghe the better fighter no doubt. Both at their best Froch gets humiliated for 12 rounds.

It is a good title. It is not my fault the site does not accept paragraphs as titles. It is a boxing thread, we have no boxing. Go on, make it a title people will enjoy. Give it a trim.

I totally agree with you prime on prime. Froch was a solid fighter, but outboxed by anyone with movement and someone like Calzaghe with that speed and movement would be touching him up constantly. Froch would likely have moments because of Calzaghe's excitability, but they would be very few and far between. Calzaghe had a chin and he would always adjust if anything happened. He had a much higher boxing IQ (I said it!) than Froch.
48 against 42 is just cheeky in my opinion. Calzaghe has been retired 12 years, relied on great reflexes and speed, and is much older than Froch. It's a silly one, but likely more evened out. Of course it will never happen, but it would really depend more on Calzaghe rather than Froch. Calzaghe has more sense than to ever do that though. He has been smart and doesn't need the money.

Froch could have fought Ward a second time, but he chose not to. Froch should just shut his arse.

Froch didn't want the fight cuz he knew he couldn't beat Ward

Froch is a real detestable prick who loves himself far too much. No wonder he gets on well with Tony Bellew.
Would not mind Groves teasing him some more and getting into his head again.
Re: Froch now want Calzaghe, 48 because he thinks he is beautiful
Carl Froch eh? What a wanker. I watched his first fight with Kessler the other day, he got absolutely battered. Whereas Calzaghe beat him in an albeit tough fight.
What sort of guy tries to wind up a 48 year old! smh.
Calzaghe would probably still do him now, but prime v prime , it was a mismatch.

I saw the title and entered out of amused curiosity. Having read the background I'm glad I did. :D

Froch = solid. Strong. Tough. Great chin. A real warrior who turned up in the big fights and never let himself down. Strong puncher, always fit and well prepared. Fought just about everybody.
A bit clumsy at times, slow feet. Could be outboxed and outthought by either slick boxers, or Fighters with a really good tactical awareness who could switch tactics mid fight or mid round.
Tough as old boots.
Calzaghe = fast fast hands. Huge workrate and punch volume. Awkward southpaw who was ultra aggressive. Great chin. Vicious puncher, until he ruined his hands, then depended on volume. High ring IQ. Never lost his composure.
Accused of being a light puncher. A bit hypochondriac and pulled out of too many fights over injuries. Didn't really fightbyhe best out there while they were in their primes.
Forget this silly fight now, when Calzaghe is 48. In their primes, Calzaghe schools Froch. Comprehensively outboxes him, likely cuts him up for a stoppage (but on his feet). Might get too anxious for a scrap and drawn into exchanges he doesn't need to, but beats Frock to the punch every time with ease.
only one winner here.
