Thanks for the reply. Its interesting you say that because a guy I work with is a hockey player at a pretty high level and when i told him he said "you have a floater" because when he had one in his ankle that's what it was like for him. Thanks man!!

Ive got them in my one elbow,so as soon as you said it,I had an immediate response of,"I can name this tune in one wince of pain";D
Unfortunate but true, any athletic activity is going to leave some lingering injury,I can even bookmark mine by what I was doing at the time.
Nose goes to the left, that would be boxing
Left ankle swells, that would be medieval full contact fighting
The knee decides to join the ankle, that would be football
The elbow and right shoulder figures, well if the knee and the ankle are doing it........That would be pitching baseball
There arent many sports you arent going to get hurt in,and unless youve got a great surgeon, hurt for later.
Look at it this way, when you drop the hammer on somebody, you can remember that when you have as much grey hair as Im trying to dye away.
Beats the hell out of living in a closet and hoping the world doesnt end.
Its just chips from the sound of it,sometimes they disolve on their own,if they start pressing on a tendon, call a doctor, and expect to be on the shelf for awhile, otherwise you might do something permanent
Re: Help with hand injury
Thanks man. How do you get them diagnosed and treated if they don't show up in an xray.

Usually they do show in the X-ray,if not a quick shot of cortisone will make it all better for awhile. Some times the things just disolve on their own. Hurts like buggery until that happens though.
UNLESS YOU HAVE ALLERGIES THOUGH,if you have resperatory allergies do not let them hit you with cortisone, because you will be in a pit of hell that will make your bone chips feel like candy land.
Question for the day,why does no known bone specialist on earth show you the X-ray if its good news?If a sentence starts with,"as you can see on this x-ray" I know Im not going to like the rest of the sentence. And why the need to point out every single bone chip, like I won a prize. Doc Im paying you enough,I'll take your word for it,I dont need a graphic description with slides of how the inside of my knee looks like someone took a cheese grater and a hammer to it.
Re: Help with hand injury
I've had cortizone before on the thumb though about 3 or 4 times so no allergy there. My friend at work had an xray and they didn't show. His girlfriend is a radiographer and they did a CT scan and it showed up in that so i'll push for the Dr to get a CT scan done for me. Thanks for your help.

I see a scope in your future, but who knows maybe you get lucky and they go away on their own,as long as they arent pressing something important you can actually just get used to them. But with the amount of pain your in,Im betting theyre sitting on something important.Oh yeah,if they put you on one of the higher end anti-inflamatories,dont make any plans for a few days, when they did for my knee,I was stoned out of my gourd for 3 days
Glad to have been of help, hope it all turns out allright for you
