No doubt. Burns can't press at all.
Re: Ricky Burns v Julius Indongo - rd-by-rd/Sky Sports
Indongo deserved to win...no doubt about it. However, he is not necessarily a world beater, as Ricky was never a world class champion at this level. We wait to see how Ricky returns, to see his true quality.
Re: Ricky Burns v Julius Indongo - rd-by-rd/Sky Sports
Indongo thanks Eddie Hearn for showing him off to the the world... crafty Eddie must have options on him, keeping the belts warm for Ohara Davies.
Burns says everyone will write him off after this bad night... err.. yeah. Finished and really finished comes to mind.
Re: Ricky Burns v Julius Indongo - rd-by-rd/Sky Sports
Indonga is a road warrior. Hopefully he gets another good payday against Crawford next. He will need to travel for that as well.

Burns always struggles when he's not the taller rangier fighter but I thought he would force him out of his comfort zone, Indongo looks all over the shop going backwards, Burns didn't even have the confidence to get close

116-112? What was that judge watching? 118-110 is generous.

Burns put a great performance by beating Kevin Mitchell years ago and now he is unifying the title. Yet he is on no ones top 5 UK fighters.
Do you and Eric still think so?

You have got to give Burns credit for taking a risk by trying to unify the title.
Burns could have won some easy defences but he chose to take a chance to enhance his legacy.
Stop trying to discredit his career.

I'm not trying to discredit his career. If you read my posts you would realise that.
I was discrediting yours (and Eric's) dopey opinion that he was in the Brit top 5 p4p.
It was a total knee jerk based on you falling for the hype from your mate Eddie . Just because he can be financially jostled into a position for a relatively easy title shot, you make him out to be the best thing sliced bread. How ironic that you make out you can't stand Hearn, but you fall for all his spin. "Mug" springs to mind! 😉😂
I never fall for Hearn spin, Burns has been around long before Eddie took over.

Very true , but it was Hearn that gave him the platform to resurrect his career when everyone thought he was finished. And it was Hearn that engineered him into contention for a winnable title. Other fighters , probably better than Burns don't get that opportunity.
But I don't want to make this a "Bash Ricky Burns" post, I like the guy a lot (who wouldn't he's a great bloke.), but the difference is how I rate him as a fighter is based on what I see for myself, not what people tell me and paper titles.
So admit it , Ricky , and people who rate him (You) should be GRATEFUL to Sky/Matchroom, in fact didn't Ricky say as much?
Re: Ricky Burns v Julius Indongo - rd-by-rd/Sky Sports
Point being Ricky could have made easier fights and defences but he went for a unification. That deserves credit, especially as his best days are probably behind him. Yes people have been saying that about him for some time now.
