Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I know this fight already has a huge thread dedicated to it
But I wanted to do a poll to make things a bit clearer on here.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
GGG late stoppage after beating the hell out of Canelo.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
such a difficult question, I think it'll be close (closer than what most others seem to think) and I think that GGG may well win the moral victory but if it goes to the cards I can see him getting robbed and Ginger pubes getting the decision, therefore I've voted GGG KO

Forget Canelo losing to Floyd , this will show us what he is made of , I agree this isn't a walkover as many think.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Canelo on decision.
GGG on knockout.

That is a very eventful fight .
So Canelo is given an undeserving decision and then a pissed off GGG knocks him out ? ;D
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
GGG ref will wave his hands in the sixth or seventh canelo is gassed GGG had made the ring very small and canelo is eating shots but fight will be waved as canelo unable to defend himself so TKO KO
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I was disappointed to not find an option reading "GGG by opening a can of whoopass on Ginger"................. so I just voted GGG by knockout.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I am going with ko for alvarez around the 10th round, his defence is pretty strong and he likes the opponent to come to him and start throwing, which I think golovkin will do.. Alvarez hits very well I think and without trying to make the brilliant 155 weight class :S I think he will have a bit more power and it will show later on in the fight, it was only khan he was fighting but in that fight I think he did a great job setting him up for the ko with the body shots.. I think a similar thing will happen here . Golovkin is pretty smart though, he didnt get into a war with dangerous lemiux when people thought he would, I think after a while he will really go for it and he could well win,it is going to pretty interesting to watch.. I am sticking with a canelo win though.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
@GaMo thanks for doing the poll. You are a quality poster and a welcome addition to the forum. Opinions here thus far are about what I suspected. Glad u weren't put off by the allegations after your admitted preference to Mexican boxers. They are a tough lot, I just feel canelo was pushed on us a bit but he is a talented fighter
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I'm thinking late rounds KO for GGG. Either the ref or corner saves Canelo.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
No I am looking at a surprise knockout in the fourth round buy Canelo over Triple G. There's going to be a sneak uppercut and it is going to spark Triple G like he has never been sparked because he has never been sparked. It right uppercut completely out of nowhere right through the guard under and up it is going to crack a vertebrae in the neck of Triple G and that will be it a fourth-round stunning unexpected knockout one perfectly-placed punch coming up from the floor the smaller guy more compact and a little bit quicker I think

Warm welcome
asexual act where a man is about to ejaculate and runs to his patner(who is not expecting it) and ejaculates in her pussy.
Bob was {jerking off} in behind Barbra while she was watching TV. When he felt the need to cum he ran up to her and puts his penis in her vagina and {cumed} and he yelled warm welcome.

This may be the best day of my life. @GaMo and I are becoming bff and @Ron Swanson shows he is bizzare as I knew he was all along

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
so at present 85.71% of Saddos think that GGG will win whilst 14.28% think Ginger Pubes will win.
85.71% + 14.28% = 99.99%
where is the other 0.01%

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
That would PK, who thinks they will both win.

Opposites attract my friend, opposites attract.
PK didn't need to post essays to communicate, you was just too thick to understand his genius.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I predict Canelo gets pulled out around the 9th with Oscar, Hop and the boys all standing around him making shoulder/arm motions whilst shaking their heads with panged expressions on their boats.
Blame an injury, save face, move on.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Golovkin is winning this poll 15-2 at the moment :o

There won't be a rematch unless Canelo cruises through the fight unscathed.
As long as Canelo isn't humiliated he'll be easily rebuilt like when he lost to Floyd (he's the biggest draw in boxing along with Joshua). Only Golovkin is the massive loser in this fight (should he lose).

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I voted triple G by decision. Reason being, I've given it a lot of thought as I'm sure we all have and it keeps coming back to the fact that Golovkin has a great jab and Canelo struggles vs jabbers. Those 350 amateur fights gennady has will be valuable experience as well. I know Canelo has more pro fights but most against cab drivers early on in his career before he stepped up. His recent opposition has Benn ok, nothing great and now he's moving into the middleweight division and in his first fight goin against the biggest ko monster in middleweight history. It's a tall order......
i do give canelo a chance though because his hands are very quick and he negotiates 12 rounds well. I see Dave morretti is a judge so his backs covered if it goes 12. Canelos got a good chin too but I'm not sure this extra muscle he's put on will benefit him. He may be able to absorb punches better but he will gas sooner. Golovkin will be on his A game for this and won't be as hittable as he was vs kell brook because this is his big night to shine.
triple G on points unless there's some dodgy business with the scoring

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Fuck. I thought I was going to be contrary by picking Golovkin to stop him late. I'm amazed only one person says Alvarez on points when that's a highly likely outcome. Golovkin needs to box in this fight. No wading in with his chin out any more, he needs to fight carefully but it's been a while since he fought like that. I'd still like to see him do it though. If he'd looked devastating against Jacobs this fight wouldn't be happening at all, it'd be a year or three down the line still.

Maybe GGG deliberately fought poorly so that Canelo and his team would take the fight. He would be a genius if he wins now. :)

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
This really isn't a huge fight for most boxing purists. It's a fight with upset potential but that's about it. I guess it's also a fight that Canelo haters can enjoy watching him getting beat down finally.
I admit that there is a slight chance of Canelo winning. He is good enough that if he comes in sharp and GGG comes in looking a bit old and slow then Canelo can pull it off. It's not an impossibility.
I've seen it time and time again. A mismatch is built up until even great boxing minds start to doubt the outcome. Most of the time it ends up exactly like everyone thought originally. So in that case, GGG wins comfortably on points. He may stop Canelo but I think that Canelo is tough enough to stay in there and survive.
Although the more likely result is a controversial points win for Canelo

I tend to look at this fight a little different than most. In my opinion,my he key won't be if Canelo can take GGG's punch, it will be how much affect Canelo's punches will have on GGG. I picked GGG to win by stoppage, but this is one of those fights that could become a whitewash if Canelo's punch hurts GGG. Their styles mesh perfectly and while I think GGG's pressure, solid fundamentals, and punch will win the day, I do see a strong chance that Canelo's counterpunching style causes problems for Gennady. If Canelo is able to hurt GGG with some solid shots early, will be a fantastic fight and could result with a Canelo win.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Loads in the media (ex-boxers/pundits) are picking Canelo.
If Golovkin loses there's gonna be swathes of "aftertimers" claiming they knew he wasn't the real deal all along. Be a terrible shame if Golovkin is remembered as a hype job, considering these last few years he really did become the "must watch" fighter for all serious boxing fans (even the haters like to watch him).

True but GGG has proven to have a good chin and I would be shocked if Canelo is the hardest puncher he has faced. I'm almost positive that Jacobs hits harder and he landed some clean shots and GGG never seemed too fazed.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Just woke up from a strange dream.
The dream involved Canelo stopping GGG in the championship rounds.
No standing 8 count was given.
As hard as that is to believe I will be going with that scenario.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
Current vote says that 17 voters believe that GGG will win and only 2 believe Ginger Pubes will win
not a single person believes it will be a draw, would a draw be so hard to imagine?
and we still only have a total of 99.99%
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs Saul Alvarez
I doubt anyone will be surprised at a draw if Golovkin knocks him down three times at least.
(I had some shrapnel on it at 25/1)
