'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
Jon Venables, one of two boys convicted of the murder of toddler James Bulger, has reportedly been returned to prison again after he was caught with child abuse images for a second time.
Venables was 10 when he was jailed in 1993 alongside his friend Robert Thompson for murdering two-year-old James. He was released on licence in 2001 but returned to jail in 2010 for possessing indecent images of children.
According to the Sun, the 35-year-old was once again arrested last week after officials found indecent material on a computer during a routine check at his home.
https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/0fcd5...sm=12&fit=max&
Venables is subject to life-long licence conditions for his role in James’s murder. A source close to the investigation told the Sun: “It’s all about protecting the public.
“We have these systems so those who could be a risk to the public are picked up. That’s what happened here.”
As reports of the arrest emerged on Wednesday night, Bulger’s mother Denise Fergus tweeted: “Here we go again.”
Bulger was beaten to death by the two boys after being led away from his mother while at a shopping centre. The killing provoked national horror and anger.
Upon sentencing in 1993, Venables and Thompson were ordered to be detained without limit. The judge said the boys were guilty of an act of “unparalleled evil and barbarity” and suggested “violent video films” might have been partly to blame for the crime.
After serving eight-year sentences, Venables and Thompson were released with new identities in 2001. Following a threat by James’s father, Ralph, to hunt down his son’s killers, both won a high court order protecting their anonymity for life.
Venables went on to offend again, including arrests for affray and possession of cocaine in 2008. In 2010, he was jailed for two years after pleading guilty to downloading images of child abuse.
Venables, who was reportedly given a second new identity after his first alias was revealed, was granted parole in 2013.
In response to his latest reported offending, a Ministry of Justice spokeswoman said: “We do not comment on individuals.”

Yeah I read this last night, he needs a fucking bullet through his head.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
Beyond help the sick fuck, they should just let a few other inmates "accidentally" bump into him and do everyones wallet a massive favour ;)
High cost of failure
DESPITE huge opposition, both Thompson and Venables were released under strict conditions in 2001 and given new identities.
Since being freed, Venables alone is thought to have cost the public around £5 million.
The total includes an estimated £1.5 million to create a complicated “legend” for at least two new identities and expert help to live in total secrecy.
A further £1.5 million is believed to have been lavished on keeping him in a young offenders’ institution for eight years before his first release in 2001.
At least £100,000 a year was then spent monitoring Venables for a decade after his initial release.
And his three years in a category A prison is now known to have cost at least £500,000.
Two complex parole hearings, a Crown Court hearing and an independent review by Sir David Omand in 2010 add at least another £250,000.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
It's a bit of a dead end road droning on about what he has cost in taxpayers money. In the overall scheme of things, it really is peanuts. The government in the UK spends in the trillions every year .... a few million quid is neither here nor there.
The real issue is about his recividism and his failure to become rehabilitated. People who argue the toss about criminals like this are really objecting to the attempt to rehabilitate rather than to punish serious offenders.
They may as well be open about it, rather than going down the dead end that is money.
He is undoubtedly a sick puppy. There will be some causes for that, but nobody is interested.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
He's had more than enough chances & he's blown it.
This sick bar steward should not see the light of day again.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
He was 10 years old when he did it. A very troubled, sick and/or evil child who has been in an institution most of his life. He has had plenty of support to go on the straight and narrow but if you breach your conditions you go back in. It is his fault.

This is allegedly what he looks like, pic is from a few years back and I'm pretty sure it's him as the guy who put it up all over the internet got done in court for it.
He was off his head on booze and cocaine and started bragging that he has a convicted murderer to the other people in the room.
Does look like him too.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
@X what pissed people off is the fact that all these "Celebs" are named, shamed and banged up for child sex offences which is obviously what should happen to these sick cunts, whereas this sick little cunt has been given multiple new identities released again and again and 're offended again and again.
Cunt will no doubt be out in a few years under yet another new identity at yet another massive cost.
The fact he carried out a pre meditated brutal murder of a defenceless toddler at the age of 10 still sickens people.
James Bulger was beaten to a pulp with an iron bar, bricks and rocks, had paint poured into his eyeballs, batteries shoved up his ass and tears on his dick and foreskin.
They walked him straight past a police station and up to the train tracks where it happened then left him on the tracks so he was cut in half by a train.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
Come on, this poor guy was probably abused himself and has multiple deep-seated psychosexual scars and cannot get control of the demons. He needs help, not a bullet through the brain. We have to reach out with love, show humanity that we truly believe in patients' recovery, and try to reschedule him for well-adjusted behavior through Behavior Modification Therapy and Exposure/Response Re-Tooling.

At the age of 10 they kidnapped a 2 year old child with the plan of pushing him into oncoming traffic
They threw pain in his face
They beat him
They shoved batteries in his mouth
They sexually assaulted him (possibly shoved batteries up his anus although they deny this)
They beat his with an iron bar
They left his on a train track (resulting in his body being cut in two after being hit by a train)
After being released from prison he apparently took great pleasure in admitting to people who he was and that he had been in prison for murder
he has been arrested twice for child pornography
what fucking more do you want, therapy and exposure/response re-tooling, the fuck are you on about, he needs a bullet in his head and have done with it, yeah he didn't have the best upbringing but there was never any question of him being directly abused himself, and millions of people have been abused and didn't feel the need to do what he done.
If they claimed that he had been rehabilitated I still can't imagine many people allowing him to live next door to him.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
The mere fact that a 10 year old is capable of such acts proves that his mind is not yet at an adult level. Those acts are completely heinous and grotesque and Sinister and Despicable and satanic. No one is disputing that. But a 10 year old? If 10 year olds knew what they were doing we would allow them to drive and to serve in the military and to get married. @Master

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
The mere fact that this loser has now been caught with child pronography shows that he is entirely messed up and should not be living in public in a civil society. I say hard labor forced hard labor like on a chain gang would be good for this loser.

of course you're right that he was only 10 years old and his mind hadn't developed to truly see what he'd done. And he was institutionalized and consequently is never going to overcome his sickness. And you're right that he needs help............ And that help is putting a bullet through the Cunt's head! He's never going to be cured, it's impossible. And most importantly he probably doesn't want to be how he is, but doesn't know no different.
so for his own good he needs to be wiped out. The problem is then resolved for everyone.......Except Jamie Bulger and his family of course.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
I say forced labor is more useful. For the rest of his life if they force him to work 10 hours a day cleaning up trash in the streets imagine how much cleaner his City or his country will be. Forced labor is the answer put these bastards to work until their last days

"Forced Labour" is that like a chain gang or something? Basically, in one breathe you're saying "he was only 10" as a a way of slightly pardoning his actions. And then, on the other hand , you want to resort him to hard labour, which is a kind of punishment as he wouldn't be getting paid. Well why punish him, he was only 10, his mind wasn't developed.
I'm not looking to punish him, I'm looking to release him from his ugly existence, I'm looking to save him.

No that's two different things made. That's apples and oranges make what you're saying. Of course I 10 year old should not be forced to do forced labor. But now that he is an adult what is he like 35 years old now? Now he should be forced to do forced labor

Ok, I hear what you're saying about the 10 year old thing, I misunderstood that. But how does forced labour cure him? Because that has to be the aim surely, no?
Otherwise, as soon as he's finished slave shifts, sorry , forced labour, why isn't he going to regress?
Or are we supposed to be content that he picks litter off the streets to atone?
These things have all been tried in the past, and there's a reason why it doesn't happen now........because it don't fucking work!

But he isn't a kid anymore and has twice been caught with child porn as an adult, I would say that the crimes as a child should be taken into account when sentencing him as an adult.

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
Getting caught with that stuff twice is heinous and Despicable and he clearly is a Menace to Society and the children all around him. Therefore he should be incarcerated indefinitely and also forced to do some labor to pay for his bills that taxpayers are footing

Not quite sure how he has, but never mind. Like @Batman told you, this guy is an adult . Unfortunately he's never going to be an adult who can contribute anything good to society.
I'd rather put him out of his misery , than resort him to hard labour as I don't see what that will achieve.
So he's basically a sick paedo kiddy torturer, but it's ok cos he's taking litter of the streets to make the town centre look nice and tidy. Oh well, that's alright then isn't it!

Re: 'James Bulger killer 'back in jail after being caught with abuse images again'
A teenager who killed seven-year-old Katie Rough has been detained for life and ordered to serve a minimum term of five years.
The girl, 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility in July.
Katie was smothered and slashed with a knife at a playing field in Woodthorpe, York, on 9 January.
Mr Justice Soole at Leeds Crown Court said it was a "truly exceptional case".
The defendant, who appeared via video link, sat with her head down clutching a soft toy as Katie's family looked on from the jury box.
Sentencing the teenager, the judge said: "The gravity of the offence of killing a small child speaks for itself. The level of danger to the public is high.
"In the circumstances of your continuing silence, the critical question is whether there is any reliable estimate as to how long that danger will continue."
Her barrister said this was not a "malicious manoeuvre", but a coping mechanism, as she was still suffering from post-traumatic stress.
A previous hearing was told how the girl, who was 15 at the time of the attack, suffered with severe mental health problems and was convinced people "were robots".
During the hearing, the court was told how the girl was found standing in a cul-de-sac covered in blood and carrying a Stanley knife as she rang 999 to tell police what she had done.
A post-mortem examination showed Katie had two severe cuts to her body, one to her neck and the other to her torso, but died from being smothered.
In July, after denying murder but admitting manslaughter, the teenager was given a 12-week interim hospital order to allow for further assessment of her mental health before sentencing.
The judge was told the girl began suffering from mental health problems more than a year before the killing and that due to her "irrational beliefs" she may have been trying to prove that Katie was not a robot.
Prosecutors said she had reported delusional thoughts as well as depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
Nicholas Johnson QC, defending, told the previous hearing his client "was clearly crying out for help and support".
During the sentencing hearing, the court was told psychiatrists still cannot agree on the exact nature of the girl's mental disturbance.
Some have explored whether she was suffering from a depressive disorder and others considered if she has an emerging personality disorder.
Mr Johnson explained she had not engaged with the experts and asked the judge to conclude that she was "unwilling because she was unable".
NHS England said it had commissioned an independent inquiry to investigate the treatment the teenager had received prior to the killing.
Following sentencing a statement by Katie's family was read outside court by police.
It said: "Our story is about a loving home and family that was torn apart on a day when we lost our daughter.
"Our story goes on into a future where our home feels very empty, but we will keep going for sake of our other children and our grandson.
"Katie's memory will live on in our hearts but also more widely, as a little girl who brought more colour to her world."
Det Ch Insp Andrea Kell, of North Yorkshire Police, said: "This investigation has been one of the most tragic and challenging I have ever dealt with.
"There are no positive results from cases such as these."
