Martin knocked down for the 1st time in his career in the 7th, but seems to have recovered.

Neither did I, I thought all Oklahoma had was Steers & Queers.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
This has been a tough fight, both pugs banging each other around pretty good, this has been a good friday night of boxing so far as well.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
Good scrap. Del Valle a class above. Blond hot.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
I believe Del Valle clearly won but it was closer then what the judges had it, one judge had it a shutout, which is ridiculous.
Thomas Oosthuizen vs. Marcus Johnson coming up next in the main event.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
I like listening to Farhood and Thompkins, they make intelligent observations and don't annoy the fuck out of you during fights.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
These pugs are swinging for the fences.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
Oosthuizen has impressed me so far, and Johnson has set a hell of a pace, pretty even fight after 3, hard to score.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
This is a fugly fight, Oosthuizen needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
Oosthuizen looked pretty damn good in this fight, Johnson was a tough opponent and takes a hell of a punch, but Oosthuizen just outworked and outclassed him. A clearcut UD for Oosthuizen. All three judges had it 98-91.
Night folks, see you tomorrow night for Hop - Chad II.

Definitely! I can't believe it! He had been inactive so it looks like it hurt him.
There were questions about his chin but he was also being outclassed

I thought Texas was full of steers and queers.

Oosthuzien looks great to be honest. Johnson is definitely a tough opponent. It was the perfect fight at this stage of Oosthuzien's career. Difficult enough to learn something from, but winnable.
With his size at 168 (he's 6'4), he needs to improve on keeping the fight on the outside or mid-range.
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 27th
Lyle - for all the crap I gave you about Cloud losing, I'm formerly eating crow here with regard to hyping the Black Russian. I still don't think he's completely done, but this is definitely a set back. Maybe he took this fight too lightly? I'm flabbergasted.
