Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
I haven't seen the fight yet but as usual I have been too impatient and checked the result first.
I had a quick browse through the fight thread and everyone seems pretty disgusted on here.
There's even this article on secondsout SecondsOut Boxing News - Main News - Rios Awarded Dubious Decision Over Abril and when I saw the headline saying 'dubious' I thought ok another decision that could have gone either way but after reading the article I was surprised as when these sites report they might say that it was 'controversial' etc but they have actually said that Rios was outclassed and beaten clearly, scoring the fight 118-110 for Abril.
Some fights people say are robberies etc when they genuinely could have gone either way. Groves vs Degale after watching it a few times It could have easily been a draw, a win for Groves or a win for Degale. (I had it for Groves by the smallest of margins). So I am assuming this wasn't anything like being that close!.
Did anyone score the fight for Rios? Just curious to know if anyone on here could make a case for Rios winning, even anyone who is a big fan of his, what did you think?
I'll hopefully catch the fight today and post my scores.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
It is impossible to score the fight for Rios unless you are one of Arum's in pocket corrupt 'officials'.
Robbery.

That's what I keep reading. Unbelievable, not good for the sport.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
I was rooting for Rios I'm a fan of him, but no way in hell did he win that fight. I gave him like 2 rounds I think that's it. It was amazing to me how Robert Garcia never urged his fighter that he was down.. was it because he was ignorant and thought his fighter was winning or because he knew something was going on? .... It was also weird how they carried him after the fight.. no way in hell that fight was even close.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
Not a chance, mine was the same as the card for Abril. Truly awful decision.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
No. Frankly anyone who did is a liar and not fit to judge a grade school coloring contest. Abril mugged and robbed as were the ppv viewers.
They should be sued or charged with a crime.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
No way. I had Abril winning. It wasn't even close. I maybe could see at the most something like 116-112 Abril.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
It was not even close in any way.
Have not seen any stats but Abril landed more punches the harder punces and was in total control for the 12 rounds.
Off the top of my head might be the worst desion I can remember.

Toss up between this one and Cloud/Campillo.
Both were ridiculous decisions.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
118-110 for Abril is what I had. ROBBERY OF THE YEAR !
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
I feel like I've said this a few times this years but this was the worst decision of the year.
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
Is it possible that two of the judges could have confused who was who?
Re: Did anyone score the fight for Rios?
You guys are going way over the top.
I scored it 115-113 for Rios.
I haven't seen it but Rios natural aggression and come forward movement definitely was being ignored by the judges and Commentators. Fact.

I disagree with that. There is noway Rios won that fight, he won 4 rounds max and that's being very very generous.
