Who is Really the Best Lightweight in the World?
I watched Milendez vs Mastival and the commentators in Strikeforce said that Milendez is the best 155 pounder in the world. I laughed as I know that Edgar is the best.
What do you think
Is Strike Force the little leagues and are the UFC Top rankers legitimately ahead of all other organizations because their Champs in the Biggest Organization?
and who do you think wins Edgar vs/ Milendez
I dont think Milendez could even get past Benson Henderson to sound Frank.
Re: Who is Really the Best Lightweight in the World?
I think Gilbert is in the conversation. Frankie has shown a fantastic standup game. Not many people can outclass BJ Penn in the boxing department. His wrestling is on a high level as well. The only draw back so far is his size. He is a small LW but clearly overcame that against a very large LW in Maynard. Melendez has signature wins against Aoki and Kawajiri. He revenged both his losses to Thompson and Ishida. I have no doubt he can test Frankie but w/o seeing him against some top 5 UFC talent I give the edge to Frankie. Someone to keep an eye on is Chandler who just submitted Eddie Alvarez. I expect to see him signed by the UFC in the near future.

Yeah well said but it must be mentioned that BJ Penn (The best LW of all time) has lost his prime and I dont think his stand up is as sharp as it once was. Your right in order for Melendez to prove he is really elite he mut face the top ufc lw then we will see where he stands. I think if BJ worked his Cardio he can still be great.
