Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.

Ok, so I waited for someone to start this up,but I guess everyone’s sulking because the Wilder fight never happened.
But I seriously believe Povetkin is gonna cause Joshua a World of problems. Maybe by fight time , I might even be predicting a Povetkin victory. Thoughts?
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
I don't know, povetkins pretty old now and he hasnt been looking as good as when he was on his March to becoming the wbc mandatory. Still managed a nice knockout of price though. I think the only way povetkin wins is if joshua totally underestimates him and buggers around in training. Povetkin has a solid head too so I would suspect he will survive till the later rounds before the ref stops it.
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
Wilder fight is the elephant in the room and no one really cares about this match. Sky will hype the shit out of this fight, Wilder will make noise and be ignored.
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
Got to be worth a few quid on a Povetkin sparkage. Yes Price had him going a bit and if there was time he might have had a shot at winning. But that doesn't change the fact that Povetkin throws a mean left hook and Joshua aint too clever at getting out of the way of them. If he gets one home, AJ is in trouble, anyone would be.
Everyone wants to see Joshua back to banging people out, but this might be a right glove glued to the chin job.

Russia hacked Povetkin.
Povetkin KO 1

At the minute Pov is 9/1 to win via KO

I think it'll be a good, entertaining match. Hoping Povetkin doesn't f*ck up and get caught cheating.

AJ's 22nd fight will be his sixth world title defence, in front of 100,000 fans at Wembley, against a top heavyweight.
Deontay Wilder's 22nd fight was in a hotel in Cancun, Mexico that holds 2,500 fans. His opponent, Jesse Oltmanns, had fought once in the previous eight years.

This says it all.
Wilder might be fighting the white rhino next or possibly A.Harrison 2.
AJ calls the shots whether we like it or not..
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
Every time I hear/read people call this fight a gimme it's a cert they're either an "America is the bestest" or a British AJ/Hearn hater. Wilder is the sexy fight for AJ, for sure, but not necessarily the hardest.
Povetkin - ignoring all the juice lark - hasn't been a top heavyweight since the 1936 Olympics through luck. Along with his great chin and sparko power the man has a serious boxing brain, winner/killer mentality and has beaten every style in the book. He brings much more to the table than an uncultivated, albeit lethal, right hand.
Oh and Povetkin shouldn't be 9/1 to win, no way Jose
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
I've said for a while Povetkin will give Joshua problems and I'm looking forward to this one.
I will certainly be putting some money on a Povetkin ko. This guy is no mug

It's a step up on recent opposition.
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
Joshua was involved in expletive-laden exchanges at one of the now customary press conference face-offs this week - but it didn't involve Povetkin.
Instead, Joshua had to square up to another boxer, Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller, after the American invaded the stage in New York during the launch of DAZN.
Joshua, who has until now cultivated a clean-cut image rather than engage in the customary trash talk, shouted at Miller: "Who you f------ talking to, shut the f--- up and get off the stage, you little b----. I'll slap you. Have some respect."

Miller has wanted to face Joshua for a while now. He is ranked No 3 with the IBF and WBA and remains a viable opponent for Joshua.
"I walked up on him, and whispered behind him: 'you're a punk, let's make it happen'," Miller later told Sky Sports.
"I'm not Dominic Breazeale, man. I want it. I would whoop him at Wembley.
"Listen Britain - you've seen fake models. You'll see the real model, the people's champ, not the one-time English champ. The world champ - that's me."

I bet Povetkin fails another drug test
Re: Joshua v Povetkin - it’s Official.
Ortiz and Povetkin should be permanently banned from the sport..hope AJ destroys him.
