Teddy Atlas was a spoiled brat from a wealthy family and had a lot of false pride. He wasn't a good student, he wasn't an honorable young man (let's not forget the despicable act he was put into reform school for) and he was never a good boxer either.
Tyson in contrast had everything going against him. He grew up in poverty, yet he became the youngest heavyweight champion of all time and he was (for a time) the most popular boxer in the world.
Teddy wanted to be a great boxer and was envious of young Mike.
What despicable act?
Tyson had it easy after he was taken in by Cus.

Tyson is the man. There is something in the way he expresses himself that I love. He's hardcore boxing emo. I would love to sit down and have a cup of tea with him.
