**JT Still a question mark in the division**
Granted I think taylor is a great fighter and he has guts... He has taken on the 2 best fighters hands down in the mwd. I think he is still a question mark due to his constant controvercial victories. Obviously it is due to the skill level of his oposition but he has yet, as champ, to galvinize himself and cement his name @ the top of the sport like hopkins, trinidad, and ODLH have done in the past... I think he had alot to prove before the fight and he has answered no questions after watching it. He is a great fighter and hangs with the greats but he still needs to SHOW ME... I wouldnt call what he did to hopkins and wright "Beating" them. I call it "competing" with them. 8)
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
He's held his own with the pound for pound fighters with vastly greater experience and won all 3 bouts .
He's got everybody talking about him i think its a case of the jury being out to lunch and watch this space personally i think those fights will serve him no end of good for the future he could be fighting really shit fighters smashing 6 bells out of them and making the front of ring magazine .
He's still middleweight champ and can still go to another level.
Winky and Bhop and the 2 fighters you dont wanna break through against but he's done it.
Levels.
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
CC .... I hear ya... those are my sentiments but I just dont think he is dominating but i guess be's fighting undominatable competition... I don't know... He is the champ... A young inexperienced one @ that who had the ability to hang with thos guys but he hasnt really electified or exited me... He's kinda just there.

Why does everyone like to avoid the fact that not only has Taylor faced 2 guys who are extremely good, but who make EVERYONE they face look bad. It's ridiculous and unrealistic to think ANYONE could, or should be able to just walk through Hopkins and Wright in convincing fashion. Even guys who manage to beat them look bad doing so. Just because Taylor has the belts doesn't mean should be expected to put on a Tyson-Spinks performance every time out, especially when the two opponents in question would look just as bad if they fought each other.
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
hokins always retained his title in convincing fashion... I'm just saying im sick of him squeeking by... its anoying
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
Hopkins also didn't have 3 consecutive fights against 2 fighters as difficult as Taylor or Wright. Further, when he did fight a fighter like Taylor (being Taylor himself) it didn't really look like he retained his title in convincing fashion did it?

Lets just say he won my heart .
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
well @ 41 its a little tough to... Taylor didnt exactly win it convincingly either... Hopkins destroyed trinidad, beat up ODLH, decisioned Joppy, KO'd Echols, Ko'd Johnson...............Need I say more... Thats what im talking about. Thats what a champ does... Not squeek by by the hair on his chiny chin chin every fight 8)

Taylor at 160 > all the fighters you mentioned and you know that. And since when is age an excuse for Bernard, considering he's famous for getting better as he get's older ???
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
champs should be champs not just hang on... "you know that"
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
Then why didn't Bernard do that against Taylor ::**
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
like i said taylor won the championship. im not disputing that. i give him his due but i wont go as far as to call him a superstar yet... he is just not an electifying champion... his fights are irritating. I just want to see one fight where he fights a world class opponant that u know the ending to befor u hear Michael Buffer... ::**
Re: **JT Still a question mark in the division**
I'd like to see that too. I'd also like to see another fighter take on 3 consecutive fights as difficult as the 3 Jermaine just took ;D ;D ;D
