Best fighters you do not see?
I remember a few years back reading about a hot South African 122lber named Lehlohonolo Ledwaba; my mate got to see him fight (in Kent ???); anyway eventually this Ledwaba got on a de la Hoya undercard and I finally got to see him.....
He got blown away by an unknown Filipino named Donkey Kong or Pacman, (I forget) anyway, I doubt he came to anything! ;)
So who are the hidden gems that only get regional TV? Or the fighters you have read about but want to see, to find out if they live up to the hype?
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
That was Pacquiao's US breakthrough career actually. He was the subtitute. He only trained 2 weeks for that fight. People viewed him as the tomato can that night. :)
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
With the internet today anyone even half-hyped there's footage. It's great for betting purposes ;)
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
After seeing Morales beating Zaragoza... I knew he was gonna be big.
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
Jorge Linares comes to mind. Fights out of Japan and little is seen of him, but I hope that changes as he is a phenom imo.

Seen about three of his fights he reminds me De La Hoya the way he puts his shots together, he just ain't so quick on his feet.

Re: Best fighters you do not see?
juan mcpherson is fighting he's 7 and 0 right now. I think the other guy you mentioned, Andre Dirrell is going under the radar, and might be the best prospect in the sport. Probably has the best handspeed above middleweight since prime Roy Jones Jr. great lateral movement, counter punching, defensive skills, just doesn't have a whole lot of power. Also Berto was beating Juan in their bout when he was disqualified.

Harry Simon . Remember seeing him in some East London hell hole and the arena being empty for his fight yet filling up for Johnny Armour or some local crowd pleaser. Mauricio Martinez - Lester Fuentes warming up for Anthony Farnell.
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
Abner Mares.
He's a bantam weight or lighter I think. He looked extremely fast and talented when I seen him fight a couple times on TV.
Haven't seen him in forever though.
Re: Best fighters you do not see?
Carl Froch next fight.
