Fury is the real deal, wait and see. ;)

And should Price lose again he's finished.
The only way they'll rematch is - Price wins a couple of comeback fights and Thompson beats Tyson Fury (a fight that does make sense). Then it will be much bigger than the first (which wasn't a big deal).
Price has made it almost impossible for Thompson to say no though mate.
He said in that interview, he'd fight in the USA, he'd give up a lot of purse money and Thompson just Ko'd him side 2.
Thompson might make price retire when he bites his hand off for this deal.
Say no to what? Thompson doesn't have a promoter, a TV deal or a fanbase. Why would anyone promote the fight in America? They are both complete and utter nobodies. There's no money in that.
Price saying he wants a rematch is par for the course.
Thompson was on $40,000 and now wants $140,000 for the rematch. Price said - "If it meant me taking a little bit less money then it is something we could look at"

Your going to have to start disagreeing with me again because Fury has settled in to a competent experienced pro and is getting more and more polished with each fight whereas Price has regressed.

Re: Price looking for rematch.
You mean Kevin Johnson the guy that also went the distance with one of the greatest heavyweight power punchers in the history of the sport?
Re: Price looking for rematch.
Good for Price. I hope he gets it. I think he looked past Thompson to the pot of gold and got caught. I think its the best way. Don't take two steps back by fighting a couple of no hopers. That wont prepare him for squat.
Fury should not even enter the picture. He's got a date with Cunningham.
Re: Price looking for rematch.
Unless he's offered big money, I can't see Thompson taking the rematch anytime soon. It would be good to see it because Price has come badly unstuck and now looks a long way from being a serious contender and there are questions that need to be answered.
Price needs a credible opponent in his next fight no matter what. The can't just throw him in with another journeyman.
I personally can't see any fighter who gets knocked senseless by a shot like that right hand getting anywhere near a world title. He should take a shot at a decent European fighter and then go after a massive pay day against Fury because that's about as much as I see Price getting out of his career.

Nonsense. Plenty of now all time greats have been laid out cold early in their career including the present champ.

Not from a shot like that they haven't.

It perforated his ear drum. But I suppose his inner ear is also made of glass. Fact of the matter is that area is probably responsible for just as many stoppages as shots to the chin.

It wasn't a hard shot and Thompson is not a puncher. Price's punch resistance was already questionable from his time in the amateurs and he's just been flattened in two rounds by a shot that probably wouldn't have even wobbled most heavyweights, let alone perforated their ear drum and had them all over the place.
Anyone who can't take a shot like that is not going to be winning world titles. Regardless of that, Price still fights like an amateur and looks like a robot in there. The Thompson fight was the first time Price has faced any kind of serious challenge and he failed it miserably.
