I now think Brook takes Khan.
2 Years ago I said on here I didn't think Kell Brook would make it at the very top. Well if the very top is Mayweather and Pacquiao I still stand by that, BUT at the time I actually meant world level as being Berto, Ortiz and Mosley (now not in his prime obviously) etc. Well I have a done a complete U turn on the matter, I now really think he may only be beaten by the 2 premier fighters in the sport. He is starting to look like a very good fighter.
Now the fight he is/has been pushing for is Amir Khan, well this fight is one I would have gone for Khan without a doubt as recently as 12 months ago, but now I have no doubt Brook's timing would cause Khan fits and his accuracy would see Khan sparked. Also after the bad press British Boxing has received recently this fight could do wonders for the sport over here. I expect Khan to beat Peterson in the rematch but after that I see him moving upto 147 having a fight and then taking on Brook.
Anyone else think Brook takes Khan?
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
Brook may well beat Khan but lets not get carried away, he beat a none punching plodder,
lets see him fight a guy with big power , i still think Brook is to easy to hit, and the first time a world class puncher hits him on the chin he goes down and out.
He doesnt have big power like Hamed.
He isnt a defensive wizard like Herol Graham.
He is a stiff arm puncher for me.
He isnt that good - FACT.

agreed!
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
I can agree with you on some points, but you can only beat who they put in front of you and he's done
that. There is no one outstanding out there bar Floyd and Pac man, so I feel he can beat what's out
there. He has enough skill to be a Champion, remember you have seen a lot worse I no I have, Brook
will be a world Champion, this year good luck to him.;D
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
We need to see him take some heavy shots and get backed up..then we'll know.
I really hope he wins a title but agree he's yet to be properly tested.
Very exciting to watch though ;)
I don't see him winning against Khan at all.
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
Before Saturday night I thought Brook had a good chance of KOing Khan, but now I think Khan's lightning fast rat-a-tat style would leave Brook looking a plodder. He is a heavy puncher but certainly not a devastating one.
Still.. I'd love this fight to happen.
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
It's a fight I would love to see! I'm the same as everybody else, I wanna see how Brook reacts when he gets hit by an elite fighter. He is easy to hit imo, however I actually do believe he can go to the very top!
Emma told us back in 2006 how good he was ;D
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
I feel this is Brooks year, remember Ingle fighters are hard to beat he's got good power I feel, Ortiz or
Berto I don't think much of and he would have there number. Ortiz is like a cream egg hard on the outside but very soft in the middle. Berto if he was fighting in my back garden I would close the curtains.;D
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
Berto and Ortiz would both start favourite against Brook at this point. They are proven "world-class" fighters Brook isn't.
The best two fighters Brook has faced are - Lovemore Ndou and Matt Hatton (arguable). Does anyone seriously think Berto and Ortiz would'n't have whitewashed those two as well?
I'm supporting Brook but until he fights a genuine world-class fighter we don't know shit.

The same could have been said about Lloyd Honeygan, but he beat a so called great in Don Curry did
he not, as boxing ability goes Brook has plenty.;D
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
Brook just has no chance against Berto or Ortiz he just doesnt hit hard enough to keep them off.
He holds his head so upright , he will fail soon.
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
I have always been impressed with Brooks and have always through he would beat Khan at welterweight. I think Khan will avoid him until Brooks win’s a world title in his own right. I think Brooks will pick up a strap.

Al Ortiz can punch but you have to question his heart , can't say I'm sold on Berto speed very little else
seen him fight on a few occasions but nothing special.
Brook uses his jab well its a good weapon to bust up opponents, its a punch much underrated, as for holding his head upright its a trait in Ingle fighter's Hammed and Graham done it.
When or if he meets them two I feel he beats them, I no he's not your cup of tea but give him a chance
you never no he may prove you wrong.;)
Re: I now think Brook takes Khan.
He's a good fighter and I think he takes Khan but I don't see him getting past Ortiz and Berto for the reason that he's easy to hit.
