Taylor vs Pavlik is a very close figh imo. Pavlik comes to fight and isn't hard to hit, Taylor will have no trouble landing. And we've seen against Hoplins that Taylor can also play the elusive game as well. I could see him winning this fight. I wouldn't bet a lot on it as it's virtually a pickem but I say Taylor could pull it off.
Good points. Taylor will land, for sure, but I question Taylor's power. He hit both Spinks and Ouma with plenty of flush shots and neither was ever ready hurt. I think the key to this fight will be Pavlik's combination of workrate, power, and combination punching. Pavlik is one of the few MW's who doesn't give up height and reach to JT. His power is equal or better, and after watching him eat those rights from Pantera, I'm betting he has enough chin to survived the straight rights JT will certainly make him eat.

I remember back when I was a boy watching boxing with my father and looking at these gladiators in the ring and saying to my self this is who I want to be. I cant say that anymore until a few men like Kelly Pavlik come around. I remember back in 1985 my dad and I were in Cleveland and he got me another great Youngstown fighters autograph and my father said to Boom Boom Mancini " I just wanted to introduce my son to a winner". I was 5 years old. I will never forget it. I dont think Floyd Mayweather would have stopped for my son and shook his hand.
Re: Kelly Pavlick !!!!!!!!
Jermain Taylor is killing himself making 160 and I am sure that has a little something to do with his troubles....another thing is he quit throwing combinations which really hurt him....and he also never takes a step back when he should either, he would throw a 1-2 to Spinks and Corey would duck and Taylor would end up leaning on Corey's back....all you have to do is take a step back and throw an uppercut and BANG you have him in trouble
