If a peak Ike and Lennox Lewis couldn't stop Tua neither would an old Foreman.
Well #1 Ike is the stuff of legend because nobody knows how good he could have been or if he had hit his peak #2 Lennox kept Tua at bay and boxed him and Tua did pretty much nothing that entire fight #3 Monte Barrett hit Tua and knocked him down granted it was later on in his career, Felix Savon KO'd Tua in like a minute so it wouldn't have been impossible, improbable but not impossible. I just think an older Foreman lulled a lot of guys into believing he was just a sweet old guy who didn't want to hurt anyone....Evander Holyfield got woke up by George, Michael Moorer got put down by him...I think Tua would have been naive, let himself get tagged and if you let Foreman tag you you're not lasting 12, sorry not happening.
I am not saying Tua would turn into Tommy Morrison and outbox George but he could be busier and keep Foreman honest enough to beat him on points.
Re: Early 90s George Foreman vs. 1997 David Tua.
Tua would need a good right hand besides that big hook, one shot would NOT take Foreman out. If Frazier had a great right, he may have KOed Ali, but it was always just that big left, over and over, you'd see a right cross maybe once a round at best.
Foreman would ~club~ Tua out in Max 5. 1973 Foreman??? Tua wouldn't make it to the 3rd.

Busy like walking in behind a jab third the reach of Foremans, leaving his feet with those left hooks. I remember Chris Byrd hurting a huffing Tua to the point of making him grunt and bend over. Foreman had that axe handle half chop to the body he did, it was brutal!
Re: Early 90s George Foreman vs. 1997 David Tua.
It's a really tough call for me, going by where both guys were at. Tua of '97 may just have outworked Foreman. I think Tua could stand up to a 90s Foreman's power.
Re: Early 90s George Foreman vs. 1997 David Tua.
The ONLY worry I'd have with Foreman in this fight would be if he could get his uppercut under the much shorter Tua's chin.....those giant right hooks to the body George threw would have had Tua bouncing all over the ring like a pinball.

Anybody in this thread who thinks David tua had any chance at all doesn't know anything about boxing

Morrison beat a 90s Foreman.
Morrison/ Tua would have been another good fight.

Yes Morrison did beat George but he BOXED him.
Tommy Morrison could have had any number of amazing fights in his era I really wish he had fought Bowe and Holyfield because I think he was basically the heavyweight Arturo Gatti he could box but he could also get in knockdown drag out brawls. A rematch vs Mercer would have been good too....he was doing well before he got tired and then got hammered. Morrison vs Shannon Briggs would have been good. Morrison vs Moorer would have been good. There's really not a bad watching fight that Tommy could have been in....Morrison vs Tyson would have been great. It's a shame his career ended how it did, he still had some left in the tank and although he was never going to be THE A#1 heavyweight he was going to be in the mix of contenders.
Re: Early 90s George Foreman vs. 1997 David Tua.
The reason Morrison beat Foreman is cuz Morrison was in the prime of his life in about 25 years younger. Also let's not forget that Tommy Morrison was a very big dude I think he was the same size as George Foreman. On the other hand David tus would have been so dwarfed by Foreman it's hard to imagine him out boxing big George
