Floyd Jnr to make comeback in 2009...
According to this article and his dad's quotes he's stated he WILL return to fight Pac next year!
Boxing: Mayweather Jr hints at comeback | Setanta
Really hope he does and i think he's just been waiting for the right man to pose a proper challenge really...

Well according to this little blurb that I just read, he's not even considering it.

Clearly he hasn't been waiting for the "proper challenge", at least not solely. Paul Williams would be a MUCH MUCH more dangerous fight for Floyd than Manny. I actually dont give Pacman much chance at all if this comes off, unless Mayweather has completely slipped which is extremely extremely unlikely. He's not going to be weight drained at welter, he will be bigger much stronger far more skilled and just as fast as Manny. There is really absolutely no comparison between the Oscar that Floyd fought and who showed up to fight Manny on saturday, it's pretty futile to say that would be any indication of how Manny would deal with Floyd imo.

Wonder if Floyd's playing hard to get? I just read Manny said Floyd's camp sent out feelers saying they'd like to fight him. With all his options, not sure why Manny would make something like that up?

Greg Leon's a twat, but if anyone was going to have credible news on Floyd, it would be him. He's a major Floyd nuthugger, and he is tight with Floyd and his crew.

This is boxing so of course Floyd will fight Manny next year...
It is a buisness as much as a sport;)
way too much money would be at stake and Floyd will 100% want his number 1 p4p status back and his ego won't like the fact that Pacman did to Oscar what He (Floyd) couldn't;)

The only way Arum would let Floyd near Manny, would be if Floyd is willing to take on the winner of the Margarito/Cotto rematch first.
Arum makes more money that way. There is no love lost between Floyd and Bob, and Arum is holding all the cards right now.

Yeah, I agree. That can't sit well with Floyd that Manny gave Oscar such a beating the fight didn't even make it to the judges decision.

Mayweather has said if the money was right he would come back, how well did the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight do PPV wise?

I don't see Paul Williams giving Mayweather trouble at all, did you see what Quintana did to him in the first fight? And Quintana is a southpaw, Mayweather would be able to land that right hand ALL night long by counter punching, and Paul Williams doesn't have the power to hurt Mayweather nor does he have the technical skills to deal with him.
Manny is so much more explosive, he's a much better and more accurate offensive fighter who not only matches Mayweather's speed, but is difficult to hit, and has faced the top fighters in the sport. Since learning how to box no fighter has outboxed Manny, even JMM it was close fight where I had him up 1 point even without the knockdown round. They were essentially even, but JMM I think had the perfect style to fight Pacquiao judging by their back-to-back fights with Barrera, and how much easier Pacquiao beat Marco.
