“Estaremos en Puerto Rico no solamente en apoyo a Cazares, sino también para darle un abrazo a Cotto para desearle bien”.

Antonio Margarito reaffirmed that he is available to face Miguel Cotto again if the scenario/conditions are right for both.
The New Welter Weight Champ will be in Puerto Rico later this month to support Mexican Hugo Cazares, who will try to recapture the belt, which is in
the hands of Puerto Rican Ivan Calderon on the 30th of August at the Coliseum Ruben Rodriguez of Bayamon.
"Cotto deserves the rematch. He is a great world champion and an excellent sportsmans. He did not have all of these fights and remained undefeated for nothing.
We shall be in Puerto Rico to shake his hand. I told Tony that many people in PR like him, said Francisco Espinosa co manager of Tony.
"We shall be in PR not only to support Cazares, but also to give Cotto a hug and wish him luck"
Re: Tony going to PR end of August/Open to face Miguel again
To be honest i cant see what Cotto could do in the rematch better... his gameplan was spot on not getting involved picking him off he just didn't have the stamina to keep him off for 12 rounds and if he went toe to toe it would have been over alot quicker IMO
Strange thing is i would still pick Cotto to beat Mayweather and Mayweather to beat Margarito... styles make fights as they say ;)
Re: Tony going to PR end of August/Open to face Miguel again
Good stuff. It's great to see those 2 be good sportsman with each other. I so hope a rematch happens; and though I'm a die hard Margarito fan I want Cotto to win so we get a trilogy;D
I feel as Saddo does, to an extent. I think if someone can beat Floyd, it's Cotto, though I really don't see it as a definate thing that would happen. I see Floyd being a bit too good for Tony to whoop him; though that would indeed be a great day if he did.
Re: Tony going to PR end of August/Open to face Miguel again
Ditto on the rematch scenario.IK see it unfolding in likewise fashion to first fight.Margarito knows what he did and that has to steel him mentally two fold.I think the Body work and being put on ropes was Cotto's downfall But there is no doubt that These two are a breath of fresh air and merit much respect.
As much as it pains me,I do see Cotto with much more diversity and tools to bring against Mayweather as opposed to all forward Margarito.....But after another war with Tony ??;D Who knows.
Re: Tony going to PR end of August/Open to face Miguel again
Can Miguel Cotto do a Floyd Mayweather and adjust in a rematch by keeping off the ropes at all times aka Jose Luis Castillo vs Floyd Mayweather 2 ?

Totally agree. That's boxing for you. Cotto's boxing skills and speed, along with his power punching to the head and body, and variety of punches, would match up better against Floyd than Margarito's slower, more plodding style. Not to say that Margarito wouldn't have a chance to catch Mayweather at some point, but I think Floyd boxes circles around him for the 12 rounds.
