Boxing...It just keeps on giving...
As hardcore boxing nerds we moan, bitch, and recall times past that will never be matched. But I think of the times boxing has given us moments that cannot be matched in any other sport.
For me, Fury getting off the floor was one of those. Absolutely staggering.
I am no fan of Fury (or at least wasn't) but I was in awe.
However much I hate boxing at times if I think of my top ten sporting moments of all time then at least 8 of them are from boxing.

It was incredible, and made even more so by the fact that he immediately started fighting back and hit Wilder with almost the same two shots shortly after and backed him up most of the remainder. The knockdown was so brutal that I can’t see anyone arguing it wasn’t a 10-8 round or anything, but it was one of the craziest rounds I’ve seen in hw boxing live, if not the most.
If they do rematch and wilder insists on his stupid dress up, Fury needs to do some kind of undertaker routine, come to the ring in a casket or something.

Nothing in boxing beats someone getting off the floor and coming back from the brink of defeat.
When Fury hit the deck I thought "that's beyond cruel after dominating" and said to Wilder "you lucky cunt." (even though I don't believe in lucky punches). Even when he got to his feet I was thinking stop it, stop it. Then hold, hold, hold. Then fuck me his hands are behind his back, no, no, please no. Absolute magic.
It will forever be an epic moment in boxing history.
The undertaker giffs are gold.

Agreed I still keep watching it back thinking he's not getting up

Those round 9 and 12 are reminiscent of the great heavyweight battles that we remember from old, such as Holyfield v Bowe.

We get treats every so often, if we're patient. What an amazing comeback for Fury. Made me a fan.
