Timestamp on posts

Is there a strong reason that the timestamp for posts is EST?

Or can the timestamps at least reflect the forum users time zone?

Saddo must have an answer I assume the saddo server is in the USA.

My forum time is always 6 and half hours behind. Irritating at first but over the years I’ve come to embrace it

They've always been all over and really don't notice them. Get into you're user profile and control panel. Not sure we're seeing same but think there's a time zone option.
