So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
:vd: So this is what getting battered and planked by Bellew gets you. Oh and Don King. Can we just gather all these trinkets up already and toss them into a foundry? Apparently the wba slapped a last minute "Interim heavyweight title" tag on this match tomorrow night because 45 yr old Oquendo and Charr is still in litigation and not guaranteed for late September. So basically pile the garbage higher is the WBA philosophy :-X. What next...winner fights winner of Miller v Adamek. What year are we in ;D.
Seriously gents I'm more disillusioned with the American heavyweight picture by the week.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
I rarely pay attention to belts anymore. This is the reason why
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
Flores has not fought in 14 months and this is the first fight this year for Bryan.
Quality written all over it.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
Haha yeeesh. Bryan had two fights last year against opponents who were 2-20 and 2-24, nothing in 2018. That makes Flores look deserving of a shot, he fought two guys with winning records last year.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
One of those, Sandy Soto (the 2-20 guy), Trevor has fought and knocked out 3 times.
Yes, I remember the clamor for that trilogy.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
Nice. Trevor vacations in the Dominican Republic every couple of years..... chalks up a KO win over Soto.... bulks up his record..... and sips some piña coladas at the beach.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
A joke but more sanction fees win win WBA
it's getting out of hand really.
Re: So..B.J Flores and Bryan for WBA interim title
B.J has been fighting since 1918 for God's Sakes

Apparently B.J was smashed like a Piñata in a room full of starving ten year olds. Down 7 times and Bryan continues to pad his record on his way to the lottery.

I imagine a 4th fight vs Sandy Soto is just about due.
So Bryan's now the Interim, with Charr being the Regular, and of course Joshua the Super (want that supersized?).
It could REALLY get weird if the WBA decides to create a "Champion-in-Recess" belt and complete the foursome, a la Cruiserweight.
Maybe the blubbery "Baby" can fight for that one.
