They were never at the same weight as professionals long enough to fight one another were they?
I don't think so.
That's a nice little gem. Always forget that Mosley didn't go pro until relatively 'late' 21, 22 yrs old.
Always thought Gabe was notch above in terms of skills between the brothers. To this day still smarting over picking Rafa to beat Oscar ;D:-X.
Gabriel was a very good fighter and was never really the same after he killed one of his opponents.
Looking back Oscar was always going to be too good and Ruelas was a little past his best. Nice find tho, Mosley was something to behold early on.
I dubbed Oscar The Colgate Kid and was itching for that mega hype to be taken down a notch ;D. But his rise was tremendous with variety of decent names, old scalps and a few doormats early on. He looked a bit ordinary with Molina and liked the experience gap between the two. Unfortunately for Ruelas he had two left feet and a head that popped up like a weather buoy that night :jabbing:
I could tell Oscar was the real deal and him beating Ruelas proved that emphatically. For all his faults, Oscar took on the best fighters available and did not protect his 0.
